Alan Horne was removed from his start for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in the first inning Sunday after walking three batters.

"Nothing hurts," Horne said. "But my arm especially, and my whole body in general had no life and no drive to do anything." Horne, whno missed the first two months of the season with a biceps strain, expects to make his next start.

Alan Horne rejoined Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's rotation on Sunday and allowed one run in four innings.

Horne hadn't pitched in two months because of a biceps strain. If he can stay healthy, he'll be a possibility for the Yankees' rotation after the All-Star break.

Horne lasted just two innings in his start Thursday. He's expected to be shut down for at least a week.

Yankees reassigned RHP Alan Horne and RHP Mark Melancon to minor league camp; optioned RHP Jeff Marquez and LHP Chase Wright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

There was talk about Horne getting a long look as a reliever this spring, but he made just one appearance. He'll join Marquez and Wright in the rotation at Scranton.

Alan Horne picked up his eighth win for Double-A Trenton by allowing one run over seven innings on Saturday.

The Yankees have reportedly added Horne to the class of untouchables in trade talks, though it's doubtful that he really is. The University of Florida product has questions about his arm and doesn't project as much more than a fourth starter anyway. He could go in a deadline deal.
