Rangers signed LHP Wesley Wright to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Wright spent last season at Triple-A in the Red Sox organization, posting a 4.31 ERA over 19 appearances before being released in July. The southpaw has held lefties to a career .237/.313/.334 line and isn't a bad depth addition. Jan 27 - 1:57 PM

Diamondbacks released LHP Wesley Wright.

Wright had a solid 2.16 ERA and 8/3 K/BB ratio over 8 1/3 innings this spring, but it wasn't enough to win a spot in Arizona's bullpen. However, the lefty specialist should draw interest on the open market.

Diamondbacks signed LHP Wesley Wright to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Wright was limited to 11 appearances between the Orioles and Angels in 2015 due to a shoulder injury. The left-hander had a nice run from 2012-2014 and will have a shot at a bullpen job in Arizona if he makes it through the spring fully healthy. Wright, 30, has held left-handed batters to a .237/.313/.334 slash line for his career.

Angels purchased the contract of LHP Wesley Wright from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Wright was released by the Orioles last month after being limited to just two appearances due to a shoulder injury. He held a 1.42 ERA over 12 appearances at Salt Lake and will give the Halos another lefty option in the bullpen.

Angels signed LHP Wesley Wright to a minor league contract.

Wright was released by the Orioles a week ago after being limited to just two appearances due to a shoulder injury. He's healthy now, though, and is a good depth add for the Halos.

Orioles released LHP Wesley Wright.

He had been designated for assignment last week. It didn't work out for Wright with the Orioles, as he was limited to just two appearances due to a shoulder injury. If he's healthy, he should be scooped up quickly.

Orioles activated LHP Wesley Wright from the 60-day disabled list; designated him for assignment.

Wright is over the shoulder ailment that's kept him out for most of the season, but the O's decided they had a better use of a 40-man roster spot. It shouldn't take the southpaw long to find a new home.

Wesley Wright (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday.

Wright has been out since mid-April with a strained left trapezius muscle. It's not clear how many rehab appearances he'll need before being activated.

Wesley Wright (shoulder) will go on a rehab assignment after Friday's extended spring training game.

Wright isn't eligible to return for a few more days, but he likely won't be ready until after a few rehab outings. The left-hander has been on the disabled list since April 11 with a strained left trapezius muscle.

Orioles transferred LHP Wesley Wright from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The move clears space on the 40-man roster for Chaz Roe. Wright is throwing in extended spring training games as he works his way back from a shoulder injury but now won't be eligible to return until mid-June.

Wesley Wright (shoulder) is expected to need 1-2 more appearances in extended spring training before being activated from the disabled list.

Wright made his first appearance in extended spring on Tuesday. It sounds like he'll avoid a rehab assignment, potentially putting him in line to return next week.

Wesley Wright (shoulder) will appear in an extended spring training game on May 19.

He should be ready for a rehab assignment shortly after that. Out since mid-April with inflammation in his left shoulder, Wright could rejoin the Orioles' bullpen before the end of the month.

Wesley Wright will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks after an MRI revealed inflammation in his left shoulder.

It's obviously good news that no structural damage was found, as he'll be able to rehab with rest rather than surgery. But, the left-hander will still be on the shelf for a while, with a return probably well into May looking like the best-case scenario.
