Giants signed LHP Clay Rapada to a minor league contract.

He'll presumably be invited to spring training. Rapada had a rough 2014, spending all of the season at Triple-A and posting a 5.73 ERA. That said, he's been successful at times in the majors and isn't a bad guy to have around for depth purposes.

Orioles released LHP Clay Rapada.

The Orioles recently signed veteran left-hander Joe Saunders and plan to use him in a specialist role, so Rapada became expendable for the organization. The 33-year-old posted an ugly 7.23 ERA over 18 appearances during his time with the Tides.

He had been at Triple-A with the Mariners, posting a 4.12 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 19 2/3 relief innings. Rapada, who spent the 2011 season in the Orioles organization, will report to Triple-A Norfolk Tuesday.

Mariners signed LHP Clay Rapada to a minor league contract.

Rapada was in camp with the Angels on a minor league deal but was cut after allowing six runs -- five earned -- in 4 2/3 spring innings. He'll give the M's some left-handed relief depth at Triple-A.

Angels reassigned LHP Clay Rapada to minor league camp.

Rapada signed a minor league contract with Anaheim in December and only had an outside shot at an Opening Day bullpen spot. Allowing six runs (five earned) in 4 2/3 spring innings ensured that he wouldn't get one.

Angels signed LHP Clay Rapada to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.

Rapada spent nearly all of 2013 at Triple-A but put up a 2.82 ERA with 38 strikeouts across 38 1/3 frames for the Yankees in 2012. Sean Burnett is the only left-hander currently locked into a bullpen spot for the Angels, so Rapada could crack the Opening Day roster.

Clay Rapada has elected free agency.

Rapada had been outrighted off the Indians' 40-man roster earlier this month. He'll look for another gig elsewhere after throwing just two innings at the major league level this season.

Indians sent LHP Clay Rapada outright to Triple-A Columbus.

Rapada cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. He is eligible to elect free agency.

Indians designated LHP Clay Rapada for assignment.

Rapada made just two appearances with the Indians this season, giving up a hit and two walks over two scoreless innings of work. Left-handed relievers have an unbelievable shelf life, so the 32-year-old will likely resurface in the majors at some point.

Clay Rapada retired the only batter he faced Wednesday in the Indians' loss to the Royals.

Rapada has rattled off three straight scoreless relief appearances for the Tribe. The 32-year-old left-hander signed a minor league contract with Cleveland in mid-June after being granted his release from the Yankees.

Rapada was released by the Yankees on June 4 after posting a 4.66 ERA and 1.76 WHIP in 9 2/3 innings of relief at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He will function as organizational relief depth for the Tribe.

Yankees released LHP Clay Rapada.

It's the second time over the last two months that they've released him. Rapada pitched well for the Yankees last season and shouldn't have trouble finding another gig in spite of his 4.66 ERA and Triple-A this season.

Yankees released LHP Clay Rapada.

Rapada was designated for assignment over the weekend. The 32-year-old dealt with a shoulder injury during spring training, but he shouldn't have much trouble drawing interest. He should make for a useful left-handed specialist if healthy.
