Dodgers recalled 1B/OF Jamie Romak from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Romak has played 12 seasons in the minor leagues, and his first appearance with the Dodgers will mark his first major league game. The 28-year-old is hitting .272/.354/.578 in 48 games at Triple-A this season. He'll take the roster spot of Carl Crawford, who was placed on the disabled list Wednesday.

Dodgers signed 1B/OF Jamie Romak to a minor league contract.

The deal includes an opt-out clause that Romak can exercise if he's not in the majors by July 1. It's not clear whether he'll receive an invitation to spring training. Romak batted .242/.322/.461 with 22 homers and 74 RBI at Triple-A for the Cardinals this past season.

Cardinals signed OF Jamie Romak to a minor league contract.

Romak, 27, was acquired from the Royals in May and enjoyed some success between the Cardinals Double- and Triple-A affiliates. He'll stick around as organizational depth in 2013.

Cardinals acquired OF Jamie Romak from the Royals for cash considerations.

Romak has hit just .147 with a .422 OPS in his first 11 games this season at the Triple-A level and is 26 years old, but he slugged 23 home runs at Double-A in 2011. The Cardinals will hope for a big turnaround.

Royals re-signed 1B-DH Jamie Romak to a minor league contract.

Romak, 26, batted .251/.343/.460 with 23 home runs, 71 RBI and an .803 OPS over 505 plate appearances with Double-A Northwest Arkansas this season while splitting time between first base and DH. He'll continue to ply his trade at the minor league level in 2012.

Royals signed OF Jamie Romak to a minor league contract.

Romak comes from the Pirates system, in which he hit for a terrible line of .191/.265/.313 across high-A Lynchburg and Double-A Altoona. The 23-year old is just one year removed from an .862 total OPS at the same levels in 2008, so can't be written off just yet.

Jamie Romak went 3-for-5 with a homer and a double Monday for Scottsdale of the AFL.

Romak did stumble after finally getting promoted to Double-A at the end of July, but he still managed a 745 OPS. He's at .300/.356/.425 in 40 at-bats so far in Arizona. A scary strikeout rate holds him back as a prospect, but he's clearly one of the most promising players in a rather shallow Pittsburgh farm system.

Jamie Romak went 3-for-4 and hit his 13th homer Saturday for Single-A Lynchburg.

The 22-year-old Romak was due for a promotion a month ago, and it's ridiculous that he's still in the Carolina League when the Pirates have little blocking him in Double-A. He's hitting .301/.387/.597 in 186 at-bats for Lynchburg.

22-year-old Jamie Romak had a two-homer game Tuesday for Single-A Lynchburg.

Romak is batting .261/.333/.534 with six homers in 23 games since returning from elbow surgery. He may not be dominating, but he should be tested with a promotion to Double-A before much longer. He has an 864 OPS in 108 games in the Carolina League over the last year.

Jamie Romak went 2-for-5 with a double Friday in his season debut for Single-A Lynchburg.

Romak, one of the Pirates' top position prospects, missed the first month while rehabbing following elbow surgery.

Pirates prospect Jamie Romak, who is on the way back from elbow surgery, hopes to resume playing in the minors this week.

Romak has been playing the outfield in intrasquad games and getting a lot of at-bats. "I feel great," Romak said. "Really it is the best that the elbow has felt in three years." Romak's season will begin at high-A Lynchburg, but he should reach Double-A this year.

Jamie Romak had a three-run double Friday for Waikiki of the Hawaiian Winter League.

Romak, who turned 22 three weeks ago, is hitting .217/.379/.348 in 46 at-bats. He finished at .256/.383/.496 with two A-ball clubs this year. It's expected that his HWL season will be cut short because he's going to play for Team Canada in next month's World Cup.
