Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports that the Orioles have signed right-hander Adam Russell.

The Orioles have yet to confirm, but Russell announced the signing on his Facebook page. It's presumably a minor league deal. The 29-year-old right-hander pitched exclusively in the minors last season between the Braves and Angels. He had a 3.03 ERA and 13/20 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings with the Rays in 2011.

Braves released RHP Adam Russell.

Russell, 28, held a 7.28 ERA in 38 1/3 innings for their Triple-A affiliate. He'll try to latch on elsewhere for the rest of the season.

Braves signed RHP Adam Russell to a minor league contract.

He'll also get an invite to spring training. Russell, 28, posted a 3.03 ERA and 13/20 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings with the Rays this season. He could be a sleeper candidate to make Atlanta's Opening Day bullpen.

Rays sent RHP Adam Russell outright to Triple-A Durham.

Russell successfully cleared waivers after being designated for assignment last week. The 28-year-old right-hander has a 3.03 ERA and 13/20 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings with the Rays this season. He'll likely be back with the big club later this summer.

Rays designated RHP Adam Russell for assignment.

Russell is the unfortunate victim of a roster crunch, as the Rays called up Alex Cobb to start Monday night and need a fresh arm for the bullpen. The 28-year-old has a 3.03 ERA and 13/20 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings this season. The sudden lack of strikeouts are a disappointment, but he does have a ground ball rate north of 50 percent. He should draw some interest on the waiver wire.

Adam Russell surrendered three runs and four hits in one-third of an inning Sunday against the Orioles.

The Rays are counting on Russell to be a big part of their pen after acquiring him from the Padres in the Jason Bartlett deal, but he has a 7.88 ERA this spring. During that span, he’s allowed 19 hits in just eight innings of work. He doesn’t look like much of a sleeper saves candidate at the moment.

Rays acquired RHP Adam Russell from the Padres.

Russell has landed on his third team in the last couple years, as he was also part of the Jake Peavy deal with the White Sox. The 6-8 right-hander has struck out a batter per inning during his 49 big league frames thus far, but control can be a problem at times. He's out of options and thus is expected to make the team as a middle reliever.

Padres recalled RHP Adam Russell from Triple-A Portland.

Russell had a 4.88 ERA in 51 2/3 innings for Portland, though that was mostly the result of a bad first half. Since the All-Star break, he was at 2.70 in 20 innings. Of course, he had still walked 17 in that span.

Padres optioned RHP Adam Russell to Triple-A Portland.

This guy just should never unpack his bags. This is the third time Russell has been optioned back to Triple-A this season. Russell has a 3.72 ERA over six appearances with the big club, but gave up four runs against the Cardinals on Thursday.

Padres optioned RHP Adam Russell to Triple-A Portland.

Russell has been up and down a few times this year as an emergency reliever. He's tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings, but the Padres obviously don't think that success is sustainable. So it's back to Triple-A.

As expected, he'll take the place of Kevin Correia on the roster. Russell tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings with the Padres last month, but owns a 9.00 ERA over 10 relief appearances at Triple-A this season.

Adam Russell is expected to rejoin the Padres on Tuesday evening.

Russell was optioned to Triple-A Portland in mid-April despite starting the season with 4 1/3 scoreless frames. He will provide bullpen depth for a short time with Kevin Correia on the bereavement list.
