Apr 2 - 2:56 PM

Indians designated LHP David Huff for assignment.

Huff didn't make the Opening Day roster and is out of options, so he'll have to clear waivers to remain in the organization. The 28-year-old posted a 3.38 ERA in four starts with the Indians last season and owns a 5.30 ERA in the majors.
Mar 31 - 4:09 PM

The Indians informed left-hander David Huff that he will not make the Opening Day roster.

Since he's out of options, the Indians will attempt to find a taker on the trade market. The 28-year-old owns a 5.30 ERA in the majors, so interest could be hard to come by.
Mar 25 - 5:48 PM

David Huff is no longer in the running for a rotation spot and will instead compete for a bullpen job.

Huff has allowed six runs over his first 10 frames this spring. Almost all of the left-hander's professional experience is as a starter, but he's 28 now and might be better off trying his luck as a full-time reliever.
Mar 10 - 12:50 PM

David Huff delivered a solid performance in Friday's victory over the Royals, allowing three runs on eight hits over his six frames.

Huff racked up five strikeouts on the night without issuing a free pass. He was victimized by a two-run shot from Billy Butler in the sixth inning, but was in complete command for the remainder of the evening. He's posted a solid 3-0 record and 2.86 ERA through 22 innings on the year, and he'll look to finish the season strong when he does battle against the White Sox on Wednesday.

David Huff held the Royals to one earned run over 5 2/3 innings Sunday in a Cleveland victory.

Huff yielded just three hits while walking one and striking out one. The 28-year-old lefty has flashed some potential since taking Jeanmar Gomez's spot in the rotation and may be worth a look in AL-only fantasy formats.

David Huff struggled in a no-decision against the Twins on Tuesday, allowing three runs on seven hits over 4 1/3 innings.

Huff struck out three and walked one. He'll head into Sunday’s matchup with the Royals in Kansas City as the owner of a 1-0 record, 2.61 ERA and 11/2 K/BB ratio through his first 10 1/3 innings this season.

David Huff will take Jeanmar Gomez's spot in the Indians' starting rotation.

Gomez has been moved to the bullpen. Huff will make his first major league start of the season Tuesday against the Twins. The 28-year-old southpaw had a 4.97 ERA and 79/34 K/BB ratio over 134 innings at the Triple-A level this year and isn't worth using outside of deeper AL-only formats.

Indians recalled LHP David Huff from Triple-A Columbus.

Huff has spent the entire season at the Triple-A level, compiling a 4.97 ERA and 79/34 K/BB ratio in 134 innings over 22 starts and two relief appearances. He could make a start in September, but it's worth chasing in fantasy leagues.
