Angels designated LHP David Huff for assignment.

Huff gets the boot after giving up 10 runs (seven earned) in 5 1/3 innings over two starts. There's decent chance he'll pass through waivers unclaimed.
Jun 13 - 7:27 PM

David Huff was rocked for five earned runs over just 1 2/3 innings Sunday against the Indians.

Huff has been awful in two starts since the Angels called him up from Triple-A Salt Lake on June 7. He gave up five hits Sunday, including a first-inning homer to Francisco Lindor and a second-inning blast to Carlos Santana. Huff is not long for majors.
Jun 12 - 7:23 PM

David Huff was lit up for five runs over just 3 2/3 innings in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.

He yielded eight hits and walked one batter on the night, serving up a pair of home runs. That Huff got knocked around certainly came as no surprise, and he might not get another chance even with Tim Lincecum set to make one more start in the minors.
Jun 7 - 10:10 PM

Angels purchased the contract of LHP David Huff from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Huff will make a spot start for the Angels on Tuesday night against the Yankees. The 31-year-old southpaw has a 5.08 career ERA at the major league level and should probably be avoided for fantasy purposes.
Jun 7 - 3:54 PM

The Angels will call up left-hander David Huff to start Tuesday against the Yankees.

Huff signed a minor league deal with the Angels last month and owns a 5.40 ERA and 11/4 K/BB ratio in 11 2/3 innings over three starts with Triple-A Salt Lake. The 31-year-old has a 5.08 ERA over 55 starts and 63 relief appearances in the majors, so he's not a fantasy option.
Jun 6 - 4:57 PM

Angels signed LHP David Huff to a minor league contract.

This confirms what was reported by Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times. Huff will serve as minor league depth for now, but could eventually become an option for the big club.
May 17 - 2:06 PM

Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports that the Angels are close to signing left-hander David Huff to a minor league contract.

Huff just opted out of his minor league deal with the Royals. Given the state of the Angels' pitching staff, it's a nice landing spot for him. The 31-year-old owns a 5.08 ERA over 55 starts and 63 relief appearances in the majors. He appeared in three games with the Dodgers last year.
May 17 - 1:55 PM

David Huff has opted out of his minor league deal with the Royals.

Huff posted an underwhelming 4.18 ERA in 12 relief outings for Triple-A Omaha and wasn't getting called up to Kansas City anytime soon. The 31-year-old will try to latch on as a bullpen arm somewhere else.
May 16 - 11:24 AM

Royals signed LHP David Huff to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

The deal will pay the veteran southpaw $1.1 million if he makes the big league club, plus a possible $300,000 in incentives. The contract also includes opt-out clauses on May 15 and June 15 if he is not yet in the big leagues. With his ability to both start and pitch out of the bullpen, he makes for a nice low-cost depth signing for the Royals.
Jan 9 - 12:23 PM

David Huff has elected free agency.

Huff was outrighted off the 40-man roster during the season and had the right to seek free agency. The 31-year-old spent almost all of the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, posting a 2.20 ERA over 23 appearances (four starts).

Dodgers designated LHP David Huff for assignment.

Huff tossed a scoreless inning in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader, but now he's being sent out as the Dodgers add a fresh arm. He'll likely clear waivers.

Dodgers purchased the contract of LHP David Huff from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

He'll be available out of the bullpen Monday, but if he isn't used could start one of games during Tuesday's doubleheader. Huff allowed four runs over four innings in a spot start for the Dodgers back in April.
