Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Marlins have agreed to a minor league deal with Scott Sizemore.

The deal was first mentioned by Chris Cotillo of MLB Daily Dish. Repeated trips to the disabled list have really taken the luster off of this once top prospect, but he's still just 29-years-old and possesses an intriguing blend of power and speed. He stands a good chance of cracking the Marlins Opening Day roster in a utility role.

Another is signing Sizemore, a former Athletic who was released by the Yankees earlier this week. The 29-year-old appeared went 5-for-16 (.313) with four RBI in six games with New York.
