He was cleared to make room for Mark Hamburger on the 40-man roster. Tucker had a brief stint with the Rangers earlier this season, but spent the majority of the year with Triple-A Round Rock, posting a 5.40 ERA and 64/31 K/BB ratio over 68 1/3 innings.

Rangers purchased the contract of RHP Ryan Tucker from Triple-A Round Rock.

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers are calling up right-hander Ryan Tucker from Triple-A Round Rock.

Tucker, 24, hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2004 as a member of the Marlins. He has a 4.09 ERA and 10/3 K/BB ratio over his first 11 innings with the Express this season. It's not clear what the corresponding roster move will be, but it's worth noting that Darren O'Day has been dealing with some hip soreness recently.

Rangers reassigned RHPs Ryan Tucker, Eric Hurley Seth McClung and Cody Eppley, INFs Brian Barden and Jose Julio Ruiz, C Chad Tracy and OF Jose Felix to minor league camp.

No surprises here. The Rangers claimed Tucker off waivers from the Marlins back in October, but he had only an outside shot at making the Opening Day roster and didn't pitch well this spring.

Rangers sent RHP Ryan Tucker outright to Triple-A Round Rock.

The Rangers snagged Tucker off waivers in October. He posted an ugly 6.15 ERA and 1.72 WHIP in 33 2/3 innings for the Marlins' Triple-A team in 2010 and probably won't see the majors for a few years.

Rangers claimed RHP Ryan Tucker off waivers from the Marlins.

Tucker, 23, registered a lousy 6.15 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 19/17 K/BB ratio in 33 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level. He was selected in the first round of the 2005 draft, but simply hasn't put it together.

Marlins optioned RHP Ryan Tucker to Triple-A New Orleans.

Part of Florida's first cuts of the spring, Tucker allowed two runs over two innings of exhibition action. The 23-year-old recently revealed that he is suffering from Raynaud's disease -- a condition that causes the hands to feel numb in response to cold conditions or stress. The former 2005 first-round pick of the club will likely spend the 2010 season in the minors.

Ryan Tucker is battling Raynaud's disease.

Raynaud's disease is a condition that causes the hands to feel numb in response to cold conditions or stress. "I have quite an issue when it comes to the cold," said Tucker, who admitted he's struggled when temperatures dipped into the 50s. The 2005 first-round pick has a career minor league ERA of 3.88 in five seasons and should stay at Triple-A New Orleans for most of this coming season.

Triple-A New Orleans right-hander Ryan Tucker underwent surgery on his left knee Tuesday and is likely to be sidelined for at least two months.

The 2005 first-round pick had struggled thus far this season with a 17.36 ERA in 4 2/3 innings for New Orleans. He could be ready to rejoin the rotation in late June.

The Marlins' 2005 first-round pick, Tucker has a promising future if he can hone his control. He walked eight batters in 4 1/3 innings this spring. Tucker will open the season in New Orleans' rotation, but the Marlins have toyed with the idea of switching him to relief.

Marlins recalled RHP Ryan Tucker from Double-A Carolina.

Tucker pitched out of the pen for Carolina after his demotion from the majors in July and was quite effective, amassing a 2.14 ERA in 21 innings. No one should be giving up on him as a starter just yet, but he is one of the possibilities to turn into Florida's long-term closer. He'll be in the pen for the rest of this month.

Marlins optioned RHP Ryan Tucker to Double-A Carolina.

Tucker spent six weeks with the Marlins during his first taste of the big leagues, posting an 8.39 ERA in 34 1/3 innings split between the rotation and bullpen. He remains a good long-term bet, but the 21-year-old struggled to throw strikes and had trouble keeping the ball in the ballpark. Justin Miller is expected to replace him on the roster prior to Thursday's game.
