Brandon Crawford homered off Jon Niese in Thursday's loss to the Mets.

The amazing thing about Crawford's emergence is the way he's completely conquered left-handers these last two seasons. He had a .631 OPS against them in 2012, a .546 OPS in 2013, an .879 OPS last year and now a 1.213 OPS against them so far this year. He's been baseball's best shortstop in 2015.

Brandon Crawford (calf) went 1-for-4 with an RBI in his return to the Giants lineup on Friday.

Crawford sat out Wednesday's contest with a sore calf, though it's believed to be a very minor issue. He continued his lefty-mashing ways with an RBI single against Elvis Araujo on Friday, and is now hitting a robust .450/.511/.725 with two homers and 12 RBI against southpaws in 40 at-bats this year.

Jun 3 - 1:44 PM

Brandon Crawford went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss to the Pirates.

Crawford's two-run home run off of A.J. Burnett in the third inning knotted the game up at three apiece. The shortstop has been much more productive than expected coming into the season, batting .297/.369/.511 with eight home runs and 36 RBI. He's certainly worthy of All-Star consideration at the moment.
Jun 3 - 1:36 AM

Brandon Crawford is not in the Giants' lineup Sunday.

Crawford played all 18 innings of Saturday's doubleheader, so it's no surprise he's sitting this one out. Joaquin Arias is filling in at shortstop.

The shortstop has been brilliant thus far, hitting .303/.385/.514 with six homers, 31 RBI and 21 runs scored. As the sample size rises, all of his numbers are tracking toward career bests.

May 21 - 1:11 AM

Brandon Crawford went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and six RBI in Saturday's 11-2 demolition of the Reds.

Brandon Crawford went 0-for-2 with a walk Monday against the Rockies.

Crawford hit safely in the first three games of the season and has seen some at-bats out of the No. 5 spot of late, but he's now hitless over his last five games. The 28-year-old is better served to be in the bottom-third of the order (like he was on Monday), but the Giants are pretty banged up right now.
