Moskos has posted a 1.69 ERA while striking out seven and walking one over 10 2/3 innings for Indianapolis. The former No. 4 overall pick really struggled after a promotion to Triple-A last season but has pitched well in his second go-round there and appears more prepared to help out the big club.

2007 first-round pick Daniel Moskos threw 7 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out seven for Single-A Lynchburg on Saturday.

Moskos, who was moved from the pen to the rotation by the new regime in Pittsburgh, is 6-3 with a 4.04 ERA, 63 H and 48/20 K/BB in 69 IP. He's also getting two outs on the ground for each through the air. He has a chance to be pretty good if that holds up at higher levels.

2007 first-round pick Daniel Moskos threw 6 2/3 scoreless innings for Single-A Lynchburg on Thursday.

The decision to make Moskos a starter is looking like a good one so far. He's fanned only 20 in 36 1/3 innings, but he's also walked just eight and he's been an extreme groundball pitcher, getting more than three outs on the ground for every one through the air.
