Padres sent INF Jemile Weeks outright to Triple-A El Paso.

The move clears him from the 40-man roster. Weeks suffered a hamstring injury back in May and wasn't able to make it back to the Padres before the end of the season. The 29-year-old plans to rest and rehab the injury rather than undergo surgery.
Oct 26 - 12:48 PM

Jemile Weeks (hamstring) has opted for rest and rehab rather than surgery after visiting Dr. James Andrews.

Weeks has dealt with a nagging right hamstring injury since early May and has been unable to get over the hump, but the good news is an operation won't be required. He's a non-tender candidate for the Padres this winter.
Oct 2 - 9:57 AM

Jemile Weeks (hamstring) has opted to rehab at home rather than the instructional league.

Weeks finally began a minor league rehab assignment last month, but he's not feeling 100 percent and surgery is reportedly still on the table. The 29-year-old originally landed on the disabled in early May with a right hamstring injury.
Sep 19 - 8:14 PM

Padres manager Andy Green said Thursday that Jemile Weeks (hamstring) has "got to get to the point where he’s running 100 percent" before he's activated.

Weeks began a rehab assignment nearly three weeks ago but doesn't appear to have full trust in his right hamstring yet. He'll likely have to play in some instructional league games next week before being cleared to return. Weeks has been out since early May.
Sep 9 - 9:49 AM

Padres transferred 2B Jemile Weeks from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

Weeks has been on the shelf fighting a hamstring strain since early May. Nothing in his recovery has changed with this paperwork move to the 60-day disabled list. He remains a ways away from a return.
Jul 6 - 10:59 PM

Jemile Weeks' MRI confirmed a strained hamstring.

He'll be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks. There's no timetable for Weeks' return, though it doesn't look like it will be any time soon. The Padres probably aren't in a huge rush to get him back in the lineup. Weeks was doing more harm than good with his horrific .140 batting average.
May 12 - 7:06 PM

Jemile Weeks' hamstring MRI was "cloudy," according to Padres manager Andy Green.

Weeks has already been placed on the 15-day disabled list, but the Padres don't know how long he will be out because they don't know the severity of the hamstring strain. The 29-year-old infielder was batting .140/.204./.200 in 57 plate appearances with San Diego.
May 10 - 9:08 PM

Padres placed 2B Jemile Weeks on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right hamstring.

Weeks was injured during Saturday's game. He's batted only .140/.204/.200 for the Padres this season.
May 8 - 1:29 PM

Jemile Weeks left Saturday's game against the Mets with a strained right hamstring.

Weeks injured himself while dropping down a bunt in the seventh inning. He had to be helped off the field. Adam Rosales took his place at second base. Weeks went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting. This could land him on the disabled list.
May 7 - 10:58 PM

Padres selected the contract of 2B/OF Jemile Weeks from Triple-A El Paso.

Weeks earns the trip to the major league roster in conjunction with the Padres placing starting second baseman Cory Spangenberg on the 15-day disabled list. With a career triple-slash of .261/.322/.360 in the majors, Weeks carries little-to-no fantasy upside.
Apr 20 - 5:19 PM

Padres signed 2B/OF Jemile Weeks to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Weeks spent almost all of 2015 at Triple-A with the Red Sox, batting just .204/.297/.281 across 266 plate appearances. The former top prospect will turn 29 later this month and is merely a depth guy at this point.
Jan 15 - 4:36 PM

Red Sox designated INF Jemile Weeks for assignment.

Weeks was only up for a few days. He's being replaced on the roster by Josh Rutledge.

Red Sox purchased the contract of INF Jemile Weeks from Triple-A Pawtucket.

He'll provide additional infield depth for the Red Sox while Dustin Pedroia is on the disabled list. The 28-year-old former top prospect is hitting just .207/.307/.310 with one homer and five RBI in 174 at-bats at Triple-A Pawtucket this season.

Red Sox sent INF Jemile Weeks outright to Triple-A Pawtucket.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Weeks, who was acquired from the Orioles in August, hit .308 (8-for-26) with three doubles and three RBI in 14 games with the Red Sox down the stretch. He turns 28 in January and is mostly organizational depth at this point.
