Blue Jays claimed 1B/OF Danny Dorn off waivers from the Diamondbacks.
He'll report to Triple-A Buffalo. The 31-year-old was hitting a blistering .386/.444/.618 with 10 homers and 53 RBI in 75 games at Triple-A Reno but struggled in his limited time with the Diamondbacks. He could provide depth on the Jays bench in September. Aug 28 - 9:17 PM

Diamondbacks optioned 1B/OF Danny Dorn to Triple-A Reno.

The D'Backs needed to clear space for Patrick Corbin and Oscar Hernandez, who are both coming off the 60-day DL. Dorn has just five hits in 29 at-bats for the big club this year. He'll get another shot when the rosters expand in September, if not sooner.

Diamondbacks recalled 1B/OF Daniel Dorn from Triple-A Reno.

He'll take the place of the injured Ender Inciarte on the active roster. Dorn, 30, had a brief stint with the Diamondbacks earlier this season and owns a ridiculous .426/.470/.628 batting line through 39 games in Triple-A this year.

Diamondbacks optioned 1B/OF Daniel Dorn to Triple-A Reno.

May 10 - 8:10 AM

Diamondbacks purchased the contract of OF/1B Danny Dorn from Triple-A Reno.

Dorn was off to a torrid start this season in the minor leagues, slashing .474/.500/.789 with two home runs and eight RBI in 10 games for Reno. But the 30-year-old probably won't get enough playing time in the crowded Arizona outfield to warrant fantasy attention.
Apr 21 - 4:58 PM

Diamondbacks prospect Danny Dorn is off to a booming start for Triple-A Reno, leading all Pacific League hitters with a .474 average.

He's made sensational contact this year, striking out just three times in 38 at-bats. Dorn's next at-bat will be the 3,293rd of his minor league career. The 29-year-old is still searching for his first trip to the show, and it might come soon if he keeps this up.

Danny Dorn has been diagnosed with a fracture in his right wrist and will miss at least six weeks.

Dorn was signed to a minor league contract in November after posting a promising .258/.335/.460 batting line with 25 home runs and 82 RBI in 2013 for the Tigers' Triple-A team. The 29-year-old is no longer in the running for an Opening Day roster spot.

Diamondbacks signed 1B/OF Danny Dorn to a minor league contract.

The 29-year-old had a bit of a resurgence at Triple-A Toledo in 2013, slashing .258/.335/.460 with 25 homers, 82 RBI and eight stolen bases. He did fan 131 times in 496 at-bats, but has legitimate pop and could compete for a bench spot with the Diamondbacks.

Reds released 1B-OF Danny Dorn.

Dorn was originally drafted by the Reds back in 2006 and posted a .278/.360/.489 batting line over seven seasons in the minors, but his career has stalled over the past couple of years. Now 27 years old, he'll attempt to latch on elsewhere.

Daniel Dorn went 4-for-6 and hit his first two homers for Double-A Chattanooga on Friday.

Dorn had a poor start, got hurt and then spent a week in Single-A rehabbing. Since rejoining Chattanooga, he's hit .340 with 10 extra-base hits in 53 at-bats. A 32nd-round steal in 2006, he has a chance at a career as a platoon left fielder, though maybe not in Cincinnati.
