According to Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press, free agent Danny Dorn has drawn interest from "several" major league teams.

Dorn is trying to break back into MLB after batting .278/.383/.467 with 17 home runs and 72 RBI in 149 games over the last two seasons with the Nexen Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization. The 33-year-old corner outfielder and first baseman will probably have to settle for a non-guaranteed minor league deal.

The D'Backs needed to clear space for Patrick Corbin and Oscar Hernandez, who are both coming off the 60-day DL. Dorn has just five hits in 29 at-bats for the big club this year. He'll get another shot when the rosters expand in September, if not sooner.

Diamondbacks purchased the contract of OF/1B Danny Dorn from Triple-A Reno.

Dorn was off to a torrid start this season in the minor leagues, slashing .474/.500/.789 with two home runs and eight RBI in 10 games for Reno. But the 30-year-old probably won't get enough playing time in the crowded Arizona outfield to warrant fantasy attention.
