Michael Bourn went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Twins.

Bourn doubled to lead off the fifth inning and scored on a wild pitch, and he added an RBI single in the sixth. The hits were Bourn's first since coming off the disabled list on Friday. The outfielder has played just 69 games this season, owning a .266/.323/.379 line on the year.

Michael Bourn went 0-for-2 but drew two walks and stole a base in Sunday's loss to the Orioles.

Bourn has gone hitless in both of his games since returning from the disabled list, but the stolen base is encouraging. The speedy center fielder has just eight pilfers over 68 games this season, as he's battled leg issues.

Indians activated OF Michael Bourn from the 15-day disabled list.

Bourn has been out since early July with a left hamstring strain. Manager Terry Francona has said the outfielder will not be ready to play every day upon his return, and he's in fact not in the lineup on Friday. That news, combined with the fact that he's coming back from another hamstring injury, makes him a sketchy fantasy proposition.

Michael Bourn (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list on Friday.

He'll play one final rehab game at Triple-A Columbus on Thursday in the designated hitter spot before rejoining Indians on Friday for the weekend series versus the Orioles. Manager Terry Francona has said that Bourn won't play every day right away, and the outfielder also might not run much since he's coming back from another left hamstring injury. Fantasy owners should probably keep him on the bench initially.
Aug 13 - 2:12 PM

Indians manager Terry Francona said Tuesday that he expects Michael Bourn (hamstring) to be activated from the disabled list this weekend.

"Bournie is doing really well," said Francona. "The last game he played he got down to first at 4.1 seconds, some sub 4.2s. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays for us sometime this weekend. We've just got to sit down with Bournie and see how to get him to the weekend. We have a day off Thursday and having him sit for a couple of days might not make sense." Francona noted that Bourn won't be ready to play every day once activated, as the Tribe will ease him back into things after he missed the last five weeks of action.

Michael Bourn (hamstring) continued his minor league rehab assignment Monday with Triple-A Columbus and went 1-for-4 with a single.

He served as the designated hitter. Bourn went 0-for-10 with five strikeouts over three rehab games in Double-A, but the good news is that he hasn't had any issues with his hamstring. He'll likely play a few more games in Triple-A before being activated. The veteran outfielder has been sidelined for over a month with a left hamstring strain.

Michael Bourn (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Akron on Tuesday.

He received clearance after running the bases again Monday with no issues. It's not clear how many rehab games Bourn will need, but he'll be back in the Indians' lineup soon. The outfielder has been out since early July with a left hamstring strain.
Aug 4 - 11:02 PM

Michael Bourn (hamstring) ran the bases again Monday and reported feeling good.

The Indians have yet to make an official announcement, but Bourn should start a minor league rehab assignment later this week if all goes well. The 31-year-old has been sidelined since early July with a left hamstring strain.
Aug 4 - 4:31 PM

Michael Bourn (hamstring) ran the bases on Saturday.

"He ran the bases really well," said Indians manager Terry Francona. "He'll do it again on Monday. But he's progressing really well." Bourn could begin a rehab assignment later this week if he continues to make progress. The outfielder has been on the shelf since early July with a left hamstring strain.
Aug 3 - 9:45 AM

Michael Bourn (hamstring) did some light running on the field Thursday.

Bourn will eventually progress to running the bases once he's comfortable. He'll be ready for a rehab assignment at that point, though it's still totally up in the air as to when that will come. The outfielder has been out since early July with a left hamstring strain.
Jul 31 - 9:44 PM

Michael Bourn (hamstring) will increase his rehab workload over the next week.

Bourn has been sidelined since July 5 with a left hamstring strain but only recently was allowed to ride a stationary bike. The Indians are taking it slowly with him, as there remains no timetable for his return. "I've kind of on purpose not gone in to push him," manager Terry Francona said. "He's going to obviously add intensity as he continues to feel better. ... He will just continue to ramp up. And when he's ready to play, we'll send him out to play."
Jul 29 - 8:41 PM

Indians manager Terry Francona said Thursday that there remains no timetable for Michael Bourn's (hamstring) return.

"When he's ready to play, he's ready to play," Francona said. Bourn played catch in the outfield on Thursday but has yet to test out his strained left hamstring with any running. He's already missed nearly three weeks, so it sounds like he'll be lucky to make it back within the projected 3-4 week timetable that was offered when he went down.
Jul 25 - 9:19 AM

Michael Bourn (hamstring) is expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

An MRI taken Sunday revealed that Bourn has a moderate left hamstring strain. It's the same tendon that he had surgery on last season and that cost him time earlier this season. The Indians acquired outfielder Chris Dickerson via trade from the Pirates on Monday.
