Michael Bourn went 2-for-3 with three RBI in Friday's win over the Pirates.
Bourn doubled in a run in the fourth inning, then punched in two more with a single in the eighth to give his team a three run lead and some much needed breathing room. They would ultimately win 5-2. While he does have five hits in his last 11 at-bats, Bourn is still hitting just .234/.305/.284 for the year. He only has 10 extra-base hits and has yet to connect on his first home run. Michael Bourn will serve his one-game suspension Thursday.

Bourn was handed the one-game sentence last week for bumping home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi during an argument. Michael Brantley is starting in center field and Mike Aviles is in left field Thursday versus the Rays.
Jul 2 - 10:00 AM

Michael Bourn went 2-for-4 with a stolen base against the Rays on Tuesday.

Bourn was the only player on either team with multiple hits in the game. The steal was his sixth of the year and first since June 4. A brutal month of June has lowered Bourn's average to .228 with a .298 on-base percentage overall.
Jun 30 - 10:05 PM

Michael Bourn had his hearing Friday to appeal his one game suspension for bumping home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi in Tuesday's game.

A decision will be made some time between now and July 10 on whether the ban is upheld. Either way, the Indians are likely to have him serve on a day that he would've had off anyways, so there aren't any major fantasy implications here.
Jun 27 - 9:01 AM

MLB suspended Michael Bourn one game and fined him an undisclosed amount for bumping home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi on Tuesday.

Bourn was ejected from Tuesday's game after arguing balls and strikes and made contact with Cuzzi during the incident. He has appealed the suspension and will play Thursday.
Jun 18 - 5:34 PM

Michael Bourn was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Cubs for arguing balls and strikes.

Bourn was called out on strikes by home plate umpire Phil Cuzzi in the top of the fourth inning and was given the heave-ho in between frames. It got a little heated, but it seems unlikely that the outfielder will face a suspension.
Jun 16 - 9:27 PM

Michael Bourn is not in the Indians' starting lineup Thursday afternoon against the Mariners.

It's just a day of rest for the veteran outfielder. Mike Aviles is leading off for the Tribe and Michael Brantley is in center field. Ryan Raburn will play left.
Jun 11 - 9:22 AM

Michael Bourn went 3-for-3 with a double against the Royals on Wednesday.

He was the lone Indian with multiple hits tonight. Bourn can't do much for fantasy leaguers these days, particularly while hitting at the bottom of the order, but he been a much more solid player for the Indians over the last month.
Jun 3 - 11:16 PM

Michael Bourn went 3-for-5 with a stolen base Wednesday against the Rangers.

Bourn is batting .317 with a .394 OBP in 60 at-bats this month after coming in at .200 with a .264 OBP in April and losing his leadoff spot as a result. The Indians are happy with Jason Kipnis at the top of the order, so Bourn will probably keep hitting low in the order for the foreseeable future.
May 27 - 3:12 PM

Michael Bourn is not in the Indians' lineup Monday.

Michael Brantley is making his fifth start in center field this month over the slumping Bourn. Zach Walters is in left field.
May 18 - 5:03 PM

Michael Bourn is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Cardinals.

David Murphy is swinging the bat well right now, so Indians manager Terry Francona doesn't want to mess with what is working. Michael Brantley will start in center field Tuesday while Nick Swisher will serve as the DH. Lance Lynn is pitching for St. Louis.
May 12 - 3:32 PM

Indians manager Terry Francona told Michael Bourn that he will be benched against left-handers.

Bourn sat out a second straight game Wednesday with the Royals throwing lefty Danny Duffy, and this is apparently going to be a common thing all season. The 32-year-old outfielder is a .248/.303/.329 career hitter against southpaws and he's been terrible against any and all pitchers so far in 2015. Bourn is also just 2-for-4 in stolen base attempts this season after going 10-for-16 in 2014.
May 7 - 9:39 AM

Michael Bourn (neck) is back in the Indians' lineup Sunday.

Bourn had to be scratched Saturday due to a strained neck, but he appears to be fine now. The veteran outfielder sports a disappointing .202/.264/.250 batting line this season.
May 3 - 10:43 AM

Michael Bourn was scratched from the Indians starting lineup on Saturday due to a strained neck.

Tyler Holt will replace him in the Tribe's lineup and bat ninth against opposing right-hander Aaron Sanchez. Bourn should be considered day-to-day for the time being.
May 2 - 3:30 PM

Michael Bourn is batting ninth in Sunday's game versus the Tigers.

It's the first time not only this season but since June of 2011 that he's batted anywhere other than leadoff. Still, Bourn is hitting an ugly .180/.254/.213 in the early going, so the move doesn't come as a shocker. Jason Kipnis is in the leadoff spot Sunday, while Mike Aviles is getting a start at shortstop over Jose Ramirez.
