Date:

Michael Bourn was hitless in two-bats with a walk and a run scored in his debut for Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.

Bourn signed a minor-league contract Friday and was immediately thrust into action with the Bees. If the team likes what they see from the veteran in SLC, he might get the nod to join the big club soon with Cameron Maybin (oblique) and Mike Trout (thumb) on the 10-day disabled list.

Jun 3 - 4:11 AM

Angels signed OF Michael Bourn to a minor league contract.

The Angels are running short on outfield depth with Mike Trout (thumb) and Cameron Maybin (oblique) on the shelf, so Bourn could get a look pretty soon. The veteran outfielder batted .220/.373/.317 in 51 plate appearances at Triple-A Norfolk in the Orioles' organization before exercising opt-out clause a couple weeks ago.
Jun 2 - 4:54 PM

Orioles released OF Michael Bourn.

Bourn exercised his opt-out Tuesday after the O's couldn't find a spot for him on the major league roster. The veteran outfielder was batting .220/.373/.317 in 51 plate appearances this season with Triple-A Norfolk. Again a free agent, he'll likely have to settle for another minor league deal.
May 24 - 11:49 AM

According to Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com, Michael Bourn has exercised the opt-out in his minor league contract with the Orioles.

The Orioles now have to decide whether to add him to the major league roster. Bourn, 34, is batting just .220 (9-for-41) through 11 games with Triple-A Norfolk. He'll likely end up hitting the free agent market.
May 23 - 3:49 PM

Michael Bourn's opt-out date is Monday.

Right now it doesn't sound like the Orioles have any plans to call up Bourn, who is hitting a lowly .188 in 32 at-bat for Triple-A Norfolk. Even if Bourn exercises his opt-out clause, we doubt his phone will be ringing off the hook with big league offers. The 34-year-old's career appears to be on its last leg.
May 20 - 11:22 PM

Michael Bourn has joined Triple-A Norfolk's roster.

Bourn played a bit in extended spring training to knock off the rust after recovering from a fractured ring finger. He's expected to need about a week of games before becoming an option for the Orioles, although it doesn't seem to be a given that he'd be added to the big league roster at that time.
May 8 - 4:51 PM

Michael Bourn (finger) played five innings in an extended spring training game Tuesday.

The veteran outfielder had no issues and should soon advance to full games at the Orioles' spring training facility in Sarasota, Florida. Bourn suffered a fractured right ring finger back in late February. He will likely be stationed at Triple-A Norfolk once he's deemed fully healthy.
Apr 26 - 11:45 AM

Michael Bourn (finger) will play in an extended spring training on Tuesday.

Bourn broke his right ring finger in spring training but appears to be on the comeback trail. He’ll report to Triple-A Norfolk when healthy.
Apr 22 - 8:38 PM

Michael Bourn has been placed on the disabled list at Triple-A Norfolk.

Bourn re-signed with the Orioles earlier this week following his release last month. Right now he's rehabbing a finger injury at extended spring training. Bourn will be a bench piece for Baltimore when healthy.
Apr 13 - 6:41 PM

Orioles re-signed OF Michael Bourn to a minor league contract.

Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports confirms the report and adds that Bourn will report to extended spring training. The veteran outfielder was released by Baltimore after breaking his ring finger during spring training, but Crasnick reports that he's just about recovered from the injury. He could eventually be an option for Baltimore's bench.
Apr 11 - 8:38 AM

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Orioles are working to re-sign Michael Bourn and could have a deal completed in a day or two.

He was released by the O's after breaking his right ring finger during spring training, but they'd like to have Bourn back now that he's presumably nearly game-ready. It would be a minor league contract, an the veteran outfielder would go to Triple-A Norfolk for a while.
Apr 10 - 7:20 PM

Orioles released OF Michael Bourn.

Bourn fractured his right ring finger before Grapefruit League contests got underway and won't be game-ready until sometime in April, at least. He requested his release and is now free to sign elsewhere on what's sure to be a minor league contract. Bourn is nothing more than a bit player at this point in his career.
Mar 27 - 6:08 PM

Orioles manager Buck Showalter noted Thursday that Michael Bourn (finger) might not be ready until mid-April.

Bourn is rehabbing a broken ring finger on his right hand and probably won't take any at-bats in the Grapefruit League. The veteran outfielder signed a non-guaranteed minor league contract with Baltimore in late February.
Mar 2 - 11:05 AM

Michael Bourn is expected to miss the next four weeks due to a broken ring finger on his right hand.

Bourn just re-signed with the O's this week and was expected to compete for a reserve outfielder role. He should still have enough time to get ready for the regular season, but this could impact his chances to crack the Opening Day roster.
