All teams have reportedly made offers, which are presumably of the minor league variety. The 31-year-old will function as organizational depth wherever he lands.

The Rays wouldn't have kept the 30-year-old Gimenez on the 40-man roster all winter if they didn't like him as their likely backup catcher this year. Unfortunately, he's not likely to outhit starter Jose Molina by much.
