Chris Gimenez went 1-for-1 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the A's.
Gimenez cracked a solo home run off Sean Manaea to lead off the sixth inning. That homer would represent the only run the Indians managed on the evening. That little power showing aside, the year has mostly been a struggle for Gimenez, who is hitting just .220/.262/.347 with four homers and 11 RBI over 118 at-bats. There is no fantasy intrigue here. And the area around his left ankle that became infected late this spring is finally beginning to show improvement. Texas opened the 2016 regular season with a ton of depth at catcher, but Robinson Chirinos (forearm) is going to be sidelined for the remainder of the first half.
