Mariners acquired OF Chih-Hsien Chiang from the Red Sox and OF Trayvon Robinson from the Dodgers in Sunday's seven-player, three-team Erik Bedard trade.

Chiang, a 23-year-old native of Taiwan, has posted a .338/.399/.647 batting line, 18 home runs and 76 RBI in 87 games this season at Double-A Portland. He has the chance to become a consistently productive outfielder for the offensively depressed Mariners.

Chih-Hsien Chiang went 3-for-4 with a homer, a triple and five RBI for low Single-A Greenville on Thursday.

Chiang, a 19-year-old signed out of Taiwan last year, is batting .309/.323/.489 in 94 at-bats. The left-handed hitter has impressive power potential for a second baseman. If he can stay at the position, he could develop into one of the Red Sox's top prospects over the next couple of years.
