Pirates prospect Deibinson Romero entered Sunday with a .750 slugging percentage in 13 games for Triple-A Indianapolis.
That leads all International League hitters. He also leads the IL in OPS (1.221) and is third in on base percentage (.471). The 28-year-old has hit .458 during his six-game hitting streak. Romero has logged over 3,000 minor league at-bats in his career. If Romero can keep up this torrid pace, 2015 might be the year he finally reaches the big leagues. Apr 26 - 6:04 PM

Rookie Elizabethon's Deibinson Romero went 4-for-5 with three homers and 10 RBI on Monday.

Romero didn't have a homer this season before exploding yesterday. The 20-year-old third baseman is hitting .300/.419/.483 in 60 at-bats. He also impressed in the GCL last year, so he's a prospect. The test will be how he fares in full-season ball in 2008.
