Charlie Wilmoth of MLB Trade Rumors reports that Ross Wolf has exercised an out clause in his contract and will accept a deal to join the SK Wyverns in the Korean Baseball Organization.
The 31-year-old right-hander registered a 4.15 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 21/15 K/BB ratio in 47 2/3 innings for the Rangers in 2013. Rather than attempting to compete for a bullpen spot in spring training, Wolf has opted for a guaranteed job with the Wyverns. Fri, Dec 13, 2013 06:36:00 PM

Rangers signed RHP Ross Wolf to a minor league contract.

Wolf was designated off the 40-man roster after the season and cleared waivers. Instead of seeking employment elsewhere, he accepted a minor league pact with an invite to spring training. The 31-year-old will compete for a bullpen spot in spring training.

The Rangers will call up right-hander Ross Wolf and outfielders Engel Beltre and Joey Butler on Tuesday.

The trio will join the Rangers now that the season has concluded for Triple-A Round Rock. All of them have had stints with the big club this season.

Rangers optioned RHP Ross Wolf to Triple-A Round Rock.

Wolf threw 49 pitches over two innings during his last appearance on Wednesday, so the Rangers want a fresh arm for their bullpen. The 30-year-old has a 4.14 ERA and 21/14 K/BB ratio over 45 2/3 innings this season.

Ross Wolf was torched for seven runs in two-plus innings by the Orioles on Saturday.

Nothing much went right for Wolf tonight; he gave up four hits in the first, two in the second and three in the third before being pulled. He pitched well in his two previous spot starts, but this one was bad enough to perhaps get him sent back to the pen.

Ross Wolf will remain in the Rangers' rotation after the All-Star break for at least one start.

Wolf earned the opportunity with six quality innings in a spot start on Thursday. He's taking the rotation spot of Justin Grimm, who has been demoted to the bullpen. Wolf can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Ross Wolf gave the Rangers a quality start Thursday, allowing two runs and three hits over six innings against the Orioles.

It wasn't enough in a game in which the Rangers were held to one run, but Wolf did his job in his spot start, just as he did in his first back on June 8. He might get more chances after the break.

Ross Wolf will start for the Rangers on Thursday in Baltimore.

Neil Ramirez was also under consideration to fill in for Yu Darvish, but the Rangers will give the nod to the guy that's already pitched well at the big league level this season. Wolf boasts a 1.95 ERA over 27 2/3 frames, but he's not an enticing fantasy play.

The Rangers will start either Ross Wolf or Josh Lindblom on Wednesday in Baltimore.

The club needs a starter with Nick Tepesch (elbow) on the DL and Alexi Ogando (shoulder) not ready to return yet. Lindblom is more stretched out, but Wolf has pitched well of late, posting a 1.40 ERA over his last 19 1/3 innings. The Rangers will announce a decision later Monday.

Ross Wolf allowed one run in five innings Wednesday against the A's to pick up his first big-league win.

Wolf entered the day 0-1 in 25 career appearances, all in relief. The journeyman was drafted by the Marlins way back in 2002, and his previous major league appearances had come with the Marlins in 2007 and the A's in 2010. He's probably going to head back to Triple-A now, but he put himself in position for another callup later with the nice showing.

Rangers purchased the contract of RHP Ross Wolf from Triple-A Round Rock.

He'll make the start Wednesday in place of Nick Tepesch, who was scratched due to a blister on his finger. Wolf has a 1.85 ERA and 25/9 K/BB ratio in 34 innings this season in Triple-A. The 30-year-old is likely to head right back down to the minors, so he's not worth chasing in most fantasy leagues.

Ross Wolf will be recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday to start against the A's.

Nick Tepesch has a blister on his right middle finger, so Wolf is going to take the mound in his place. Wolf has posted a promising 1.85 ERA and 25/9 K/BB ratio in 34 innings this season at the Triple-A level, but the 30-year-old right-hander is not a great fantasy streamer.

Wolf was released by the Orioles last week after allowing 12 hits and six earned runs in eight innings at Triple-A Norfolk. The righty will function as depth for Texas.

Wolf allowed 12 hits and six earned runs in eight innings this season for the Orioles' Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk, Virginia. The 29-year-old right-hander will try to land a minor league contract from another organization.

Orioles signed RHP Ross Wolf to a minor league contract.

Wolf posted a pedestrian 4.76 ERA and 55/27 K/BB ratio last year in 73 2/3 innings at Triple-A. The 29-year-old will act as organizational relief depth for the O's in 2012.
