Red Sox acquired RHP Graham Godfrey from the Athletics to complete the Sandy Rosario trade.

Godfrey began this past season in the A's rotation, but he didn't last long and ultimately posted a 6.43 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 21 innings. He's merely organizational depth.

Godfrey was designated for assignment by the A's last week after posting a 6.43 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 21 innings. He'll go on serving as organizational relief depth.

Athletics designated RHP Graham Godfrey for assignment.

Godfrey posted a 6.43 ERA and 1.71 WHIP in 21 innings with the A's earlier this season. The 28-year-old right-hander seems likely to accept a spot back at Triple-A.

Athletics optioned RHP Graham Godfrey to Triple-A Sacramento.

Well, we suppose that rules him out for Monday's start. Godfrey dealt with a blister in his last outing, but the A's will go in another direction even though the righty appears to now be healthy. It's not clear at this point who will get the ball Monday against the Twins.

Graham Godfrey (finger) threw a bullpen session Saturday and reported no issues.

Godfrey dealt with a blister in his last start, but is expected to make his scheduled start Monday for the injured Brandon McCarthy (shoulder). He currently owns a 6.16 ERA and 9/10 K/BB ratio over four starts this year and should be ignored outside of AL-only formats.

Graham Godfrey (finger) was told that he should be fine for his next scheduled start.

Godfrey dealt with a blister on his right middle finger during his start Tuesday against the Angels, but he was given a paraffin wax treatment. The 27-year-old right-hander owns a 6.16 ERA and 9/10 K/BB ratio over four starts this year and can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Graham Godfrey gave up four runs in three innings to take a loss to the Angels Tuesday in his return to the majors.

Godfrey appeared to be dealing with a blister problem, though he stayed in initially. He simply had no command tonight. Just 24 of his 53 pitches went for strikes and six of those were hits.

Athletics recalled RHP Graham Godfrey from Triple-A Sacramento.

Godfrey is taking Brandon McCarthy's spot in the Oakland rotation. The 27-year-old right-hander posted a 5.06 ERA in 16 innings earlier this season with the A's and should be ignored in nearly all fantasy formats.

Graham Godfrey is expected to take Brandon McCarthy's (shoulder) spot in the rotation.

The A's tipped their hand when they pulled Godfrey early from Friday's start. The right-hander posted a 5.06 ERA in 16 innings earlier this season with the A's, and fantasy owners would no doubt rather see Brad Peacock get a shot. But, Godfrey has probably earned another opportunity with his work at Triple-A Sacramento, where he's posted a 1.21 ERA and 22/5 K/BB ratio over 29 2/3 innings.

Athletics optioned RHP Graham Godfrey to Triple-A Sacramento.

Godfrey won a spot in the Athletics' season-opening start rotation but went 0-3 with a 5.06 ERA and just seven strikeouts in his 16 innings of work. Pedro Figueroa has been recalled in a corresponding 25-man roster move and will join the Oakland bullpen.

Graham Godfrey allowed five runs (three earned) on six hits and two home runs in five innings of Sunday's loss to the Mariners.

He struck out three and walked one. Godfrey served up bombs to Justin Smoak and the light-hitting Brendan Ryan. He's now 0-2 with a 4.09 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 4/2 K/BB ratio through his first 11 innings. The 27-year-old righty will get the Indians at home next weekend.

Graham Godfrey allowed two runs over six innings Tuesday in a loss to the Royals.

Godfrey followed up Tom Milone's zero-strikeout gem with a nice outing that included just one K. It's unlikely that Godfrey will have lasting value in AL-only leagues, but he is an option in his home starts against mediocre offenses.

Graham Godfrey shut out the Giants for five innings in his start Monday night.

Godfrey allowed four hits, walked none and struck out three. Godfrey is in the mix to be one of Oakland's five starters to begin the year, though he projects as more of a middle reliever for the long haul. AL-only leaguers can take a wait-and-see approach.

Graham Godfrey struggled against the Royals Wednesday, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks over just three innings.

He struck out one and surrendered a solo homer to Lorenzo Cain. Godfrey entered spring training with an outside shot at a rotation spot, and he hasn't helped himself with a 7.11 ERA through five outings. Still, with Jarrod Parker and Brad Peacock having been sent to minor league camp, he remains in the running.
