Hagadone was just sent down last Wednesday, but he's able to return since he's replacing the injured Vinnie Pestano. The lefty has a 2.45 ERA and 8/6 K/BB ratio over 7 1/3 innings for the Tribe this season.

Hagadone finished last season on the disqualified list after he suffered a fractured forearm when he reportedly punched something in frustration in early July. He's now fully recovered from the injury and is slated to open 2013 in the Indians' bullpen.

Indians activated LHP Nick Hagadone from the disqualified list.

Hagadone landed on the disqualifed list after he suffered a fractured left forearm when he reportedly punched something in frustration in early July. The players' union then filed a grievance in order to restore his service time. While he is back on the 40-man roster, a decision has yet to be rendered on the grievance. The 26-year-old southpaw is currently pitching in the Dominican Winter League.

Hagadone is fully recovered from July hand surgery and should be back to full strength by spring training.

Nick Hagadone (hand) has resumed throwing.

Hagadone has been out since July 6 with a left hand injury that required surgery. He remains on the restricted list, as he suffered the injury when he punched something after being removed from the early July game. The lefty will likely participate in winter ball and the Indians hope he'll be 100 percent for spring training.

The MLB players association has filed a grievance against the Indians on behalf of Nick Hagadone.

Hagadone underwent surgery earlier this month to repair a fracture left forearm which he suffered when he punched something after being removed from a game against the Rays on July 6. The Indians optioned him to Triple-A Columbus and then placed him on the minor league disqualified list. The 26-year-old will not be paid while he's on the list, which is the reason for the current dispute.

The Indians placed Hagadone on the restricted list after he suffered a self-inflicted left hand injury following a poor performance last Friday night. The 26-year-old will not get paid or receive major league service time as long as he remains on the disqualified list. Weiner said he did not know all the facts, but that union personnel were investigating the matter.

The move is being made after Hagadone suffered a self-inflicted left hand injury after his appearance Friday. He was optioned to the minors Saturday, but the official move has been changed and he will not be able to receive payment while on the disqualified list. He holds a 6.39 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 27 appearances for the Tribe this season.

Nick Hagadone pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his first career save Monday in the first game of the doubleheader against the White Sox.

Jairo Asencio was going for a three-inning save in an 8-4 game until giving up two runs in the ninth. Rather than turn to Chris Perez or Vinnie Pestano then, the Indians went to their young left-hander, and it worked out fine. Hagadone walked Alejandro De Aza with two outs, but he retired three of the four hitters he faced. He's allowed just one run in 8 1/3 innings during his two stints with the Indians this season.
