Adam Moore said the broken bone in the back of his right hand isn't as serious as originally thought and he hopes to return soon after his brace is removed in two weeks.

MLB.com's Greg Johns cautions that Moore "might be overly optimistic with his estimate of a 2-4 week absence." He still seems likely to miss most, if not all, of the rest of spring training. If not on the DL, Moore could begin the year in the minors unless the Mariners decide to carry three catchers.
