Adam Moore went 1-for-3 and belted a solo home run in Saturday's 7-4 Grapefruit League win over the Tigers.

He tied into a Jordan Zimmermann pitch and knocked it over the wall in the second inning. Moore was signed to a minor league deal by the Rays last month and is likely ticketed for Triple-A to start the season. He has 96 games of major league experience with the Mariners, Royals, Padres and Indians starting in 2009. He spent last season with the Indians' Triple-A club batting .238/.313/.369 with eight homers and 33 RBI in 76 games.

The 33-year-old backstop spent the entire 2017 season at Triple-A Columbus where he slashed just .238/.313/.369 with eight homers and 33 RBI in 276 plate appearances. He'll add catching depth for the Rays.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports says Moore will receive $570,000 if in the majors. The career .197/.237/.303 hitter won't make the Opening Day roster, barring injury, with Yan Gomes and Roberto Perez ahead of him on the depth chart.
