Jefry Marte went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the A's
Marte stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and nobody out in the fourth inning. Facing off against Daniel Mengden, he proceeded to launch a 405-foot bomb to dead central to jump the Angels to a 5-0 lead. That was more than enough for a game Ricky Nolasco. In addition to the granny, Marte also picked up a double. He has done a nice job in a complementary role this season, hitting .251/.307/.461 with 13 homers and 42 RBI over 243 at-bats. Jefry Marte went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run and three total RBI in Sunday's win over the Tigers.

Marte launched a two-run home run off Anibal Sanchez in the fifth inning and came through with a sacrifice fly just one frame later. He just returned to the Angels on Friday after being away from the team to handle a personal matter earlier in the week. For the season, the 25-year-old first baseman is working to a .243/.286/.453 triple-slash with 10 homers and 30 RBI over 181 at-bats.

Jefry Marte (personal) will join the Angels Friday in Detroit.

Marte missed the club's series against the Blue Jays while tending to a personal matter. The 25-year-old has been a jack of all trades this season, splitting time between left field and both corner infield spots. He's hit a little bit too with nine homers and 27 RBI over 176 at-bats for the Halos.
Aug 25 - 6:05 PM

Jefry Marte (shoulder) slugged a solo homer Tuesday in the Angels' win over the Mariners.

Marte was forced from Sunday's series finale against the Indians after being hit by a pitch on the shoulder and he sat out Monday's series opener in Anaheim. But all is well now, health-wise. The 25-year-old is batting .245/.295/.460 with nine home runs and 25 RBI in 58 games this season with the Angels.
Aug 17 - 8:52 AM

Jefry Marte was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Indians after being hit by a pitch on the shoulder.

He went for precautionary X-rays which came back negative and is listed as day-to-day. Look for him to return to the Angels lineup early in the week.
Aug 14 - 5:55 PM

Jefry Marte went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's win over the A's.

Marte snapped a 2-2 tie with his three-run home run in the sixth inning. The tater was his seventh of the season and pushed his RBI total to 23. In addition, the 25-year-old first baseman is slashing .250/.291/.462 over 132 at-bats. He has put in multi-hit efforts in three of his last five games.
Aug 3 - 1:30 AM

Jefry Marte clubbed a three-run homer in the first inning on Wednesday, powering the Angels to a 7-4 victory over the visiting Rangers.

Marte has been an unexpected source of power in the Halos lineup this season, though he's only hitting .227/.277/.436 on the year with six homers and 17 RBI. He isn't seeing consistent enough playing time to be worth a look in mixed leagues, though he's worth a roster spot in all AL-only formats and could be an interesting punt option in daily leagues when squaring off against an opposing southpaw.
Jul 21 - 1:04 AM

Jefry Marte (knee) finished 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored Wednesday versus the Rays.

Marte was held out of the Angels' starting lineup Tuesday due to left knee discomfort, though he did take two at-bats off the bench. It's clearly a very minor issue.
Jul 7 - 8:26 AM

Jefry Marte (knee) went 0-for-2 off the bench Tuesday night against the Rays.

Marte had to be lifted from Monday's series opener after experiencing left knee discomfort. It's obviously nothing too serious. He remains day-to-day.
Jul 6 - 8:17 AM

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said that Jefry Marte (knee) should be fine to play on Tuesday.

Marte was hit in the knee by a Matt Moore pitch in the top of the fourth inning on Monday, but it's not a major concern. Consider him day-to-day.
Jul 4 - 5:06 PM

Jefry Marte exited Monday's game with left knee discomfort.

Marte got hit in the knee by a Matt Moore pitch in the top of the fourth inning, before homering in the top of the sixth. He can be considered day-to-day.
Jul 4 - 4:03 PM

Jefry Marte was lifted from Monday's game against the Rays with an apparent injury.

Marte got hit on the knee by a Matt Moore pitch in the top of the fourth inning, though he went on to slug a game-tying solo shot in the top of the sixth. There should be an update from the Angels after the game.
Jul 4 - 3:24 PM

Jefry Marte hit a walkoff sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Angels defeated the Athletics 7-6 on Sunday afternoon in Anaheim.

Anaheim was down 7-2 after the top of the fourth inning, but the club put up two runs in the seventh, two more in the eighth, and then won the game against Liam Hendriks in the bottom of the ninth. Mike Trout and Albert Pujols both singled, Johnny Giavotella drew a walk, and Marte drove a ball deep enough to right field to give the Halos their first win in seven games. Marte also had an RBI single on Sunday.
Jun 26 - 7:30 PM

Jefry Marte has been getting reps in left field.

Marte is batting .314 (11-for-35) with four homers and four doubles in 14 games and the Angels are looking for ways to keep his bat in the lineup. The 24-year-old has never played the outfield in pro ball, but Angels' left fielders have an MLB-worst .550 OPS this season. It's worth a shot.
Jun 13 - 8:23 PM

Jefry Marte clubbed his third home run of the season as the Angels fell to the Yankees on Thursday.

His pinch-hit, two-run blast chased Ivan Nova in the seventh inning and pulled the Angels to within two runs at 5-3, but that wound up being the extent of their offensive attack. He has been fantastic in limited action for the Angels, slashing .375/.400/.875 with three long balls and six RBI.
