Angels designated RHP Barry Enright for assignment.

Enright has really struggled with the big club this season, allowing 12 runs on 12 hits and seven walks over 8 1/3 innings. There's a chance he'll pass through waivers unclaimed.
May 16 - 5:44 PM

Barry Enright, making a spot start in place of Tommy Hanson, was hit hard in a no-decision against the White Sox on Friday, allowing five runs on four hits over 3 1/3 innings.

Enright walked two and struck out two in the game. After allowing a leadoff home run to Alejandro De Aza, he settled in nicely and was staked to a 5-1 lead entering the fourth inning. That’s when the wheels fell off though, and the White Sox struck for four runs to even the score and chase Enright from the game. He’ll now head back to the bullpen and remain irrelevant in most fantasy leagues.
May 10 - 11:50 PM

Barry Enright will start for the Angels Friday against the White Sox in place of Tommy Hanson.

Hanson is missing the start following the death of his step-brother. Enright has given up three runs in three relief innings for the Halos and can be avoided for fantasy purposes.
May 10 - 1:41 PM

Angels recalled RHP Barry Enright from Triple-A Salt Lake.

He'll take the place of David Carpenter, who was optioned to the minors after he gave up four runs in one-third of an inning in Wednesday's loss to the Rangers. Enright had a rough 9.61 ERA over his first four starts in Triple-A this year and will function as bullpen depth.
Apr 25 - 5:40 PM

Angels purchased the contract of RHP Barry Enright from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Enright will provide the Angels a bit more bullpen depth over the regular season's final month. He posted a 2.73 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 52 2/3 innings with Salt Lake.

Angels acquired RHP Barry Enright from the Diamondbacks for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Enright, who posted a 4.87 ERA in 24 starts with the Diamondbacks from 2010-2011, had a 5.87 ERA in 21 starts with Arizona's Triple-A affiliate this season. The 26-year-old right-hander will serve as organizational depth with Triple-A Reno.

Diamondbacks optioned RHP Barry Enright to Triple-A Reno.

Enright allowed six runs -- four homers -- in just three innings Tuesday night against the Brewers. He now has a 7.41 ERA in seven starts this season. Ouch.

Barry Enright allowed four home runs and was tagged for six runs in three innings Tuesday in a loss to the Brewers.

Enright was called up from Triple-A Reno earlier in the day hoping to do better than what he had shown earlier this season when he opened the year in Arizona's starting rotation. Instead, he was bombed again. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 7.41 ERA and 21/15 K/BB rate in seven starts.

Diamondbacks recalled RHP Barry Enright from Triple-A Reno.

Enright will return to the major league mound on Tuesday against the Brewers, hoping to enjoy a bit more success than he did earlier this year. The 25-year-old right-hander opened the 2011 season in Arizona's starting rotation but posted a 6.49 ERA and 19/15 K/BB ratio in his first six starts.

The Diamondbacks are expected to recall right-hander Barry Enright from Triple-A Reno to start Tuesday against the Brewers.

He'll replace Zach Duke in the starting rotation. Enright was a pleasant surprise during the second half last season, but was sent down to the minors in early May after posting a 6.49 ERA and 19/15 K/BB ratio over his first six starts this season. He shouldn't be trusted in most fantasy formats.

Diamondbacks optioned RHP Barry Enright to Triple-A Reno.

Enright captured one of the final spots in the Arizona starting rotation this spring, but was exposed early and often once the regular season opened. He will head back to Triple-A having posted a 6.49 ERA in six starts.

Barry Enright was tagged for six runs in five innings Wednesday in a loss to the Rockies.

Enright helped his cause by hitting his first career homer, but it wasn't nearly enough. In his defense, he could have been out of the fourth without a run scoring had Justin Upton not misplayed an Ian Stewart RBI double. That was follwed by Chris Iannetta's scorching liner off the left-field foul pole for a two-run homer. On the other hand, Stewart's double really should have only been the second out of the inning, as a Troy Tulowitzki double earlier in the frame was ruled a foul ball by third-base ump Kerwin Danley. Enright is now 1-3 with a 6.39 ERA.

Barry Enright notched his first win in 10 starts after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings on Thursday.

He better have won tonight, as the Diamondbacks scored seven times in the first and three more over the next two frames. Enright lost his last five starts in 2010 and was 0-2 with a 6.65 ERA in four starts to begin this year. His rotation spot would have been in serious jeopardy if not for the bounce-back performance.
Fri, Apr 29, 2011 12:51:00 AM

Barry Enright gave up five runs over 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Mets.

Enright wasn't fooling anyone. He surrendered a career-high 12 hits -- including two homers -- while walking one and striking out two. The 25-year-old right-hander now has an ugly 7.08 ERA over his first four starts this season. Enright enjoyed some success as a rookie last year, but there's just not a lot to get excited about here for fantasy owners.
