Conor Gillaspie went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in Thursday's loss to the Nationals.
The Giants could only find five hits as a team against a locked in Tanner Roark. Gillaspie had himself two of those. He also picked up an RBI on a second-inning ground out. That makes three consecutive games in which he has driven in a run. Despite his recent quiet success, there is no true fantasy intrigue here. Gillaspie has just four home runs and 17 RBI for the season as a whole. Jul 29 - 1:57 AM

Conor Gillaspie went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Reds.

Gillaspie connected for a solo home run off Dan Straily in the third inning. That would stand as the Giants' only run of the contest. It was Gillaspie's fourth dinger of the 2016 campaign. In addition to that quartet of taters, the 29-year-old third baseman is slashing .250/.298/.405 and has driven in 16 runs in 116 at-bats. He holds no fantasy value.

Conor Gillaspie blasted a three-run home run on Sunday, but it wasn't enough for the Giants to overcome the Padres.

Gillaspie's three-run shot in the seventh inning was the Giants first hit against Edwin Jackson, and pulled the Padres to within a run at 4-3, but that would be as close as they would come. He has done a decent job filling in for Matt Duffy, slashing .260/.311/.417 with three homers and 14 RBI.

Conor Gillaspie went 3-for-4 with a triple and a double in leading the Giants to a 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

With a .783 OPS in 80 at-bats, Gillaspie has done a really nice job while filling in for Matt Duffy at third base. He shouldn't have much of a role when Duffy returns, however.
Jul 2 - 12:43 AM

Conor Gillaspie hit a walkoff RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Giants beat the Phillies 8-7 on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.

Gillaspie drove in Ramiro Pena, who had slapped a one-out double a couple pitches before. Gillaspie also had a single and he got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, finishing the day 2-for-4 with two big RBI. He will continue to get regular playing time while Matt Duffy recovers from an Achilles strain and is worth consideration in NL-only fantasy formats.
Jun 26 - 7:51 PM

Conor Gillaspie went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBI as the Giants throttled the Pirates 15-4 in Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Gillaspie connected on a two-run homer off Pirates starter Wilfredo Boscan, capping off a seven-run rally in the fourth inning. He added on RBI singles in the fifth and eighth innings. The veteran infielder has struggled in his limited action with the Giants, slashing .224/.296/.388 with two homers and seven RBI.

Giants purchased the contract of INF Conor Gillaspie from Triple-A Sacramento.

He's now made it back to the majors with the club that originally drafted him. Gillaspie will back up at the corner infield spots
Apr 22 - 2:11 PM

Conor Gillaspie homered Wednesday in the Giants' Cactus League opener against the Angels.

It was a third-inning solo shot off Angels right-hander Matt Shoemaker. Gillaspie signed a minor league contract with the Giants in early February and is trying to earn a spot on the San Francisco bench this spring. He got off to a nice start on Wednesday.
Mar 2 - 5:56 PM

Giants signed INF Conor Gillaspie to a minor league contract.

The deal will presumably include an invitation to major league spring training as well. The 28-year-old had a rough go of things in 2015, slashing .228/.269/.359 with four homers and 24 RBI in 75 games between the White Sox and Angels. He'll compete for a bench spot with the Giants.
Feb 5 - 10:21 PM

Angels sent INF Conor Gillaspie outright to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Gillaspie cleared waivers after being designated for assignment. He's hit just .228/.269/.359 for the White Sox and Angels this season.

Angels designated INF Conor Gillaspie for assignment.

Gillaspie hit just .203/.250/.344 in 68 plate appearances with Anaheim. He opened the 2015 season as the White Sox's starting third baseman, but the 28-year-old is now a nomad. Kaleb Cowart was called up by the Angels in a corresponding roster move.

Conor Gillaspie went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a loss to the Astros on Tuesday.

Gillaspie had an RBI double in the first inning before adding an RBI single an inning later. He's enjoyed his new digs through three games, going 5-for-12 with two doubles, three RBI and three runs scored as a member of the Angels. Gillaspie is hitting .249/.288/.378 on the year after being designated for assignment by the White Sox earlier in July.

Angels acquired 3B Conor Gillaspie from the White Sox in exchange for cash considerations.

Gillaspie had been designated for assignment last weekend after hitting just .237/.276/.364 this season. Although he's been a disappointment in 2015, Gillaspie isn't a bad option to fill in for the injured David Freese (finger) for the next few weeks at third base.

White Sox designated 3B Conor Gillaspie for assignment.

Gillaspie has had an awful season, batting just .237/.276/.364, and has been on the bench mostly of late with the White Sox going with Tyler Saladino and Gordon Beckham at third base. It's possible he'll draw some interest on waivers from a team in need of corner infield help, but Gillaspie really isn't starting material.
Sun, Jul 19, 2015 10:59:00 AM

Conor Gillaspie is not in the White Sox starting lineup on Saturday.

Tyler Saladino is once again getting a start at the hot corner and will bat second against Jeremy Guthrie and the Royals. Gillaspie has been a major disappointment this season, slashing just .237/.276/.364 with three homers and 15 RBI in 58 contests.
