Ackley has missed a lot of time recently with bone spurs in his ankle. The injury makes it difficult for him to plant and pivot off the foot. So long as Ackley can tolerate the pain, he'll be in the lineup. He's now slashing .251/.298/.397 through 133 games.

Ackley had surgery back in October of 2012 to remove a bone spur from the same ankle. It's not clear at this point whether he might eventually require another operation, but expect him for now to play through the issue after a few more days of rest.
