Robbie Grossman went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI against the Red Sox on Friday.

Grossman had an RBI single in the fifth inning and later added a solo blast in the seventh. He's hitting .344 (11-for-32) with a .432 on-base percentage of his last eight games. The Astros have used him out of the leadoff spot for each of the last seven, so he should be active in AL-only formats right now.
Aug 16 - 12:35 AM

Robbie Grossman belted a two-run homer in the eighth inning on Friday, powering the Astros to a 4-3 victory over the Rangers.

Grossman's blast off Neal Cotts broke a 1-1 tie and put the Astros ahead to stay. He also singled, doubled and walked in the game, finishing 3-for-3. He has struggled to this point in the season, slashing just .203/.328/.323 with five homers and 23 RBI and could soon lose playing time once Alex Presley is cleared to return.
Aug 9 - 12:46 AM

Robbie Grossman went 4-for-5 with a homer and a double as the Astros beat the Rangers 8-4 on Wednesday.

Grossman, who was just recalled Tuesday after a couple of weeks back in Triple-A, snapped an 0-for-28 slump that dated back to June 9. He'll get a few more starts this week with Dexter Fowler and Alex Presley out, but he might not be much of a factor afterwards.
Jul 9 - 11:41 PM

Astros recalled OF Robbie Grossman from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

He'll take the place of the injured Alex Presley (oblique) on the active roster. Grossman is batting just .158/.273/.263 across 35 games for the Astros this season, but he should have some appeal in AL-only formats.
Jul 8 - 10:50 AM

Astros optioned OF Robbie Grossman to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Grossman has hit only .158/.273/.263 across 35 games for the Astros this season and is being sent to the minors for the second time. L.J. Hoes has replaced him on the roster.
Jun 25 - 3:35 PM

Robbie Grossman went 2-for-4 with a stolen base against the Royals on Tuesday.

Grossman was recalled on Sunday and has started both games in left field, swatting two singles in Tuesday's win. He also stole his second base of the season in two attempts. The 24-year-old has the ability to go deep as well, making him an interesting name in AL-only leagues.
May 27 - 11:45 PM

Astros recalled OF Robbie Grossman from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Grossman will serve as the Astros everyday left fielder upon his return. He struggled in his first stint with the team, slashing just .125/.236/.313 with two homers and six RBI in 14 games. He could be worth a look in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues.
May 25 - 7:06 PM

Astros optioned OF Robbie Grossman to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Grossman went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts Tuesday, which was apparently the final straw as it dropped his batting line to .125/.236/.313. The Astros are calling up top prospect George Springer to take Grossman's spot on the roster. Grossman will get another shot later this summer.
Apr 16 - 12:29 AM

Robbie Grossman hit a two-run homer and walked twice against the Blue Jays on Thursday.

That's an improvement. Grossman entered the night with a .063 average, no runs scored and one RBI in 32 at-bats this season.
Apr 10 - 10:27 PM

Dropped to eighth in the order, Robbie Grossman went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts on Wednesday.

The Astros redid their lineup at the end of the spring because of how impressed they were with Grossman, moving him up to second and going with Jose Altuve in the cleanup spot. It ended up lasting less than a week and a half with Grossman off to a 2-for-29 start. Now he's 2-for-32 with 12 strikeouts and still no runs scored. Fortunately for him, the Astros don't have anyone else they'd rather play in left field right now, so Grossman will get a chance to snap out of the funk.
Apr 10 - 12:04 AM

Astros manager Bo Porter indicated Wednesday that Robbie Grossman will get at-bats out of the No. 2 spot this season.

Jose Altuve was originally slated to be the No. 2 hitter behind Dexter Fowler, but he could now slide into the No. 3 spot. Grossman, 24, batted .268/.332/.370 with four homers and six stolen bases over 63 games last season and has some appeal as a late-round option in mixed leagues.
Mar 26 - 3:10 PM

Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle has confirmed a Yahoo! Sports report that the Astros have discussed an extension with Robbie Grossman's agents.

Ortiz says the deal would lock Grossman up beyond his arbitration years. Grossman isn't slated for arbitration eligibility until after the 2016 season, so the deal would obviously be a lengthy one. The 24-year-old batted .268/.332/.370 with four homers and six stolen bases over 63 games for the Astros last season. He's a career .269/.381/.387 hitter in the minors.
Mar 21 - 11:25 AM

Robbie Grossman went 2-for-3 with his first home run of the spring Saturday against the Tigers.

Grossman opened the spring as the favorite to start in left field for the Astros, and he's only widened his lead since; he's batting .417 in 24 at-bats. With his modest power, Grossman doesn't have a whole lot of fantasy upside, but he does have a chance to be useful in AL-only leagues.
Mar 15 - 4:45 PM

Robbie Grossman (oblique) is still unable to swing pain-free.

Grossman has missed the last three weeks due to a strained right oblique, and it appears he's yet to make significant progress. The Astros have yet to officially shut him down, but it would be a longshot to think he could play sometime this week.
