Dodgers recalled RHP Casey Fien from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The right-hander is active and in uniform for Saturday's game against the Mets. He's taking the roster spot of Julio Urias who was optioned back to Triple-A on Saturday. Fien registered a 7.90 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 12/3 K/BB ratio over 13 2/3 innings before he was cut by the Twins earlier in the season.

Fien has been a disaster this year. In 14 outings, he owns a dismal 7.90 ERA to go with an equally discouraging 1.76 WHIP. Opponents have hit a robust .350 against him over that span. Fien can reject a minor league assignment if he clears waivers.

Fien has been bothered by shoulder discomfort for much of April and aggravated the injury Wednesday in an appearance against the Tigers. It's not certain how long he'll be out, but it figures to be a while.

Fien departed with a trainer shortly after Miguel Cabrera launched a two-run homer to put Detroit up 10-7 in the top of the ninth inning. Fien had some right shoulder issues earlier this month and could now be looking at an extended stay on the disabled list.
