Rangers recalled RHP Josh Lindblom from Triple-A Round Rock.

Lindblom will take the place of Alexi Ogando in the starting rotation and pitch Monday night against the Athletics. The 25-year-old right-hander had a 2.08 ERA and 33/11 K/BB ratio in 43 1/3 innings over seven starts and one relief appearance in Triple-A. While he has 101 relief appearances in the majors, this will be his first start in the big leagues. We'd steer clear outside of deeper AL-only formats.

Josh Lindblom will be called up to start Monday against the Athletics.

He'll take Alexi Ogando's place in the starting rotation. Lindblom, who was acquired from the Phillies in the Michael Young deal, owns a solid 2.08 ERA and 33/11 K/BB ratio in 43 1/3 innings over seven starts and one relief appearance this season with Triple-A Round Rock. He'll likely be a reliever in the long-term, but he might be worth a look in AL-only leagues.

Rangers optioned RHP Josh Lindblom to Triple-A Round Rock.

Lindblom, who was acquired this winter from the Phillies as part of the Michael Young trade, allowed 19 baserunners in 10 1/3 Cactus League innings. The right-hander will try to get it figured it out on the farm.
Mar 30 - 7:48 PM

Rangers acquired RHPs Josh Lindblom and Lisalverto Bonilla from the Phillies for INF Michael Young and cash considerations.

Lindblom struggled down the stretch for the Phillies last season after coming over from the Dodgers in the Shane Victorino deal, but he's put up a 3.31 ERA while striking out nearly a batter per inning over his first 101 appearances in the big leagues. He should give the Rangers solid work in the middle innings.

Phillies acquired RHPs Josh Lindblom and Ethan Martin and a player to be named later or cash considerations from the Dodgers for OF Shane Victorino.

Lindblom owns a solid 2.91 ERA and 71/28 K/BB ratio over 77 1/3 relief innings with the Dodgers over the past two seasons. However, the 25-year-old right-hander is an extreme fly ball pitcher and has struggled away from Dodger Stadium (4.58 ERA away compared to a 1.35 ERA at home). He should be a decent middle reliever at the very least.

Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports notes that right-handed reliever Josh Lindblom "became more expendable" after the Dodgers acquired Brandon League from the Mariners on Monday night.

Lindblom is among the Phillies' potential targets, so he could be a chip in a deal for Shane Victorino or Hunter Pence. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 3.02 ERA and 43/18 K/BB ratio over 47 2/3 innings of relief this season.

Dodgers recalled RHP Josh Lindblom from Double-A Chattanooga.

He'll replace Matt Guerrier (paternity leave) on the active roster. Lindblom, 24, has a 2.29 ERA and 13/6 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings at the major league level this season. He should remain in Dodgers' bullpen down the stretch.

Dodgers optioned RHP Josh Lindblom to Double-A Chattanooga.

Lindblom has posted a solid 2.29 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 16 relief appearances this season for the Dodgers. He should return when big league rosters expand in September.

Dodgers recalled RHP Josh Lindblom from Double-A Chattanooga.

He'll replace Kenley Jansen on the active roster. Lindblom, 24, made his major league debut in June and posted a 1.69 ERA and 5/3 K/BB ratio over 10 2/3 innings before being sent back down to the minors. He was mostly used in lower-leverage situations the first time around, so look for him in middle relief.

Dodgers optioned RHP Josh Lindblom to Double-A Chattanooga.

The right-hander was sent down to make room for Kenley Jansen, who was activated from the disabled list on Saturday afternoon. Lindblom did a fine job with the Dodgers, posting a 1.69 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 10 2/3 innings, and could certainly be in line for another call up if the Dodgers need another arm down the road.

Dodgers purchased the contract of RHP Josh Lindblom from Double-A Chattanooga.

Lindblom, 23, has registered a 2.96 ERA and 33/11 K/BB ratio over 24 1/3 innings this season at the Double-A level. He'll pitch in middle relief for the Dodgers.

The Dodgers will call up Josh Lindblom from Double-A Chattanooga Sunday.

Lindblom has been terrific this year, posting a 2.96 ERA and 12.2 K/9 rate for Chattanooga. He serves as their closer but would likely be used in a middle relief role even in the Dodgers' unsettled bullpen.

Josh Lindblom yielded three runs over five innings in a loss to the Rockies on Tuesday.

He yielded eight hits, including a two-run homer to Todd Helton, while striking one and walking one. There was some thought that the Dodgers were looking at the 22-year-old as a potential reliever, but the fact that they stretched him out as much as they did today means that he'll likely head to Triple-A Albuquerque as a starter.
Tue, Mar 30, 2010 07:02:00 PM

Josh Lindblom pitched two hitless innings Sunday and has allowed two runs in nine innings since arriving in Dodgers camp 10 days ago.

He's given up five hits, walked two and struck out seven in the process. The 2008 second-round pick has a legitimate chance of breaking camp as one of the Dodgers' relievers.
