Michael Martinez (foot) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Clearwater Friday.

It's not clear how many games he'll need there, but it will probably be more than a handful since he's been out since mid-March with a broken foot. Pete Orr seems likely to lose his roster spot when Martinez is ready.

Michael Martinez (foot) won't be able to return to the field for 6-8 weeks.
