Indians designated RHP Bryan Price for assignment.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the newly acquired Brandon Moss. Price, 28, was rocked in his brief time in the majors in 2014 but held a 2.48 ERA with over a strikeout per inning in the minors.

Indians recalled RHP Bryan Price from Triple-A Columbus.

Price has registered a 2.48 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 44/12 K/BB ratio in 36 1/3 innings this season at Columbus. He should do well in a mid-relief role for the Tribe.

Indians optioned RHP Bryan Price to Triple-A Columbus.

Price is coming off a brilliant minor league season, but there's no room for him in the Indians' bullpen at the moment. He should make his major league debut in 2014.

Indians purchased the contract of RHP Bryan Price from Triple-A Columbus.

The move protects him from being selected in December's Rule 5 Draft. Acquired from the Red Sox in the Victor Martinez deal way back in 2009, the 27-year-old put things together this season by posting a 2.04 ERA and 92/16 K/BB ratio over 75 relief innings between Double- and Triple-A.

RHP Bryan Price was traded from the Red Sox to the Indians in the Victor Martinez deal.

Price, the 45th pick in last year’s draft, opened the year 1-6 with a 6.54 ERA at high-A Salem, but he’s been better since a demotion, going 3-2 with a 2.45 ERA in the Sally League. While the Red Sox have been using him as a starter, he was a reliever in college and he projects one in the majors. It’s a long shot that he’ll reach his ceiling, but he does have the fastball-slider combination to become a closer.
