Ehire Adrianza said his fractured foot has improved quickly over the last week.
This comes only a few days after it was reported Adrianza's foot was healing slower than expected. Apparently that isn't the case. Adrianza has resumed throwing and hitting but he hasn't advanced to running yet. There's no timetable for his return. May 21 - 5:47 PM

Getting a rare start at second base in place of Joe Panik, Adrianza delivered a two-run single as part of a five-run uprising in the seventh inning that broke the game open. The 25-year-old is hitting just .136/.174/.182 in limited action this season.

Adrianza has been on the disabled list since late July with a right hamstring injury, but the Giants want to see how he looks and whether he'll be an option for their active roster in Wednesday's National League Wild Card Game against the Pirates. Adrianza can play all around the infield, so he'd be a nice tool to have on the bench.
