Ehire Adrianza went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Astros.

Adrianza took Mike Fiers deep for a solo dinger in the third inning. That homer was his first of the season. In 29 games, the infielder is hitting .290/.333/.403. An abdominal strain cost him several weeks of the campaign, but he has had no issues on the health front since being activated from the disabled list on July 3.

He must have suffered the injury in Wednesday's game against the White Sox. Adrianza has played sparingly this year, batting .259 over 54 at-bats as a utility player. The Twins also demoted Nik Turley on Thursday. They're expected to call up two pitchers on Friday.

This was Adrianza's first career game with three base thefts. He also drove in a run with an RBI ground out in the third inning. The utility infielder has not done much with the bat this season -- hitting a quiet .259/.323/.333 -- but is now up to six steals through 26 games played.

Ehire Adrianza notched two hits Saturday as the Twins fell to Cleveland in the first game of a day/night doubleheader.

Adrianza and Eddie Rosario were the only Twins to manage more than one hit on Saturday. He drove in two of Minnesota’s three runs with a two-out double off Ryan Merritt in the fourth inning. The 27-year-old has hit .265 with no homers, six RBI and three steals while filling a utility role this season.
