Ehire Adrianza (oblique) is set to begin a rehab assignment Friday with High-A Fort Myers.

Adrianza has been playing in extended spring training games all week and could be ready to join the Twins' active roster as a utility infielder after 3-4 minor league rehab games. He was claimed off waivers by Minnesota in early February.
Apr 20 - 12:20 PM

Ehire Adrianza (oblique) will play 3-4 innings Monday in an extended spring training game.

Adrianza has been doing full baseball activities for a couple of days and should be ready to join the Twins' active roster as a utility infielder by next weekend. That assumes he can avoid setbacks.
Apr 16 - 2:02 PM

Ehire Adrianza (oblique) did more tee work and some defensive drills on Tuesday.

Adrianza also hit a little soft-toss in the batting cage as he works his way through an oblique strain. The infielder should be ready to join the Twins around late April.

Apr 7 - 10:41 AM

Twins placed INF Ehire Adrianza on the 10-day disabled list with a strained right oblique.

Adrianza suffered the oblique strain last weekend in a Grapefruit League game and figures to miss about two weeks of regular-season action. The 27-year-old infielder carries no fantasy relevance as a .220/.292/.313 career hitter.
Mar 30 - 9:56 AM

Ehire Adrianza (oblique) is expected to begin the season on the disabled list.

As expected. Adrianza, who was claimed off waivers from the Brewers in February, suffered a right oblique strain during Saturday's game. It's a tricky injury, so he's going to need some downtime.
Mar 29 - 1:17 PM

Updating an earlier report, Ehire Adrianza suffered a strained right oblique in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles.

Adrianza was believed to be dealing with a foot injury but it's actually his oblique that's bothering him. Twins manager Paul Molitor described the injury as "fairly acute," but wouldn't give a timetable for his return. Adrianza is a near lock to begin on the year on the disabled list.
Mar 25 - 9:33 PM

Ehire Adrianza left Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles after fouling a ball off his foot.

It's the second day in a row a Twins player has injured himself fouling a ball off his foot after Kennys Vargas did the same thing on Friday (that was also against Baltimore). Adrianza grounded out in his only at-bat before exiting. Benji Gonzalez replaced Adrianza at second base in the bottom half of the third inning.

Twins claimed INF Ehire Adrianza off waivers from the Brewers.

He will serve as minor league depth for the Twins.
