L.J. Hoes - OF - Orioles

Orioles purchased the contract of OF L.J. Hoes from Triple-A Norfolk.

Hoes, a third-round pick back in 2008, has a .283/.358/.375 batting line over parts of five seasons in the minors. The 22-year-old doesn't have much pop in his bat, but can run a little bit and has solid plate discipline, as evidenced by his 226/331 K/BB ratio. He could sneak his way into some playing time down the stretch.

L.J. Hoes - OF - Orioles

L.J. Hoes went 0-for-4 on Saturday and is hitting just .226/.262/.274 for low Single-A Delmarva.

Hoes turned heads by hitting .308/.416/.390 with 10 steals in 10 tries in the GCL after debuting last year, but the 2008 third-round pick may not have been ready for full-season ball as a 19-year-old. He has a 14/3 K/BB ratio and he's just 1-for-2 stealing bases so far.

He still has yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities, and the timetable for his return continues to be pushed back. He's virtually irrelevant for fantasy purposes at this point. May 17
	2	Nolan Reimold D.L. Nolan Reimold (hamstring) is not expected to be ready for activation from the disabled list when first eligible. Reimold was placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 12 with a right hamstring strain. He is eligible to return on May 28 -- next Tuesday -- but his rehab is not that far along. The outfielder should be good to go at some point during the first few weeks of June. May 22

Chen landed on the 15-day disabled list May 13 with a strained right oblique and can't pick up a baseball for at least another week. But he's allowed to do cardio work while he waits. The right-hander should be ready to rejoin the O's starting rotation in early June. May 20

	7	Tsuyoshi Wada D.L. Tsuyoshi Wada (elbow) allowed four runs over four innings Thursday in a rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk. Wada gave up three hits and issued two walks but he fanned five batters and made it all the way to 78 pitches (45 of which were strikes). He's on his way back from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and is aiming to join the Orioles' starting rotation at some point in early-to-mind June. The left-hander signed a two-year, $8.15 million contract with the O's in December 2011 but has not yet thrown a pitch in a major league game. May 16
