Tim Wheeler went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBI against the Indians on Saturday.
Wheeler was outrighted off the Rockies' 40-man roster last November, an indication of his struggles in the minors, but the 26-year-old has four home runs in Cactus League play. He's now hitting .395 in his bid to make the Rockies as a bench player. Even if he can't break camp with the club, the outfielder has put himself back on the club's radar with his showing. Rockies selected Sacramento State outfielder Tim Wheeler with the 32nd and final pick of the first round.

Colorado picked up this pick from the Angels as compensation for losing Brian Fuentes. Wheeler, a left-handed hitter, is a legitimate center fielder with leadoff potential and doubles power. For where they picked, the Rockies, who selected left-hander Tyler Matzek 11th overall, had an excellent first round.
