The procedure was very minor and isn't expected to impact the timetable on his recovery. He should be ready to rejoin the A's at some point in late July.

He's dealing with right knee discomfort, an injury he's battled off and on all year. Phegley felt better after receiving a cortisone shot in mid-May but the injury started bothering him again on Saturday. With the All-Star break coming up, Phegley would only have to miss 11 games if he's activated when first eligible on July 17.

Alex Claudio plunked Phegley in the knee to lead off the ninth inning. He was in some pain after the hit-by-pitch and was removed for a pinch-running Tyler Ladendorf. Further information regarding the severity of the injury should be provided on Wednesday.
