Kyle Seager went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double to lead the Mariners to a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.
That's 20 homers and 28 doubles for Seager. He seems to be on his way to topping last year's career highs in both categories (26 homers, 37 doubles). He's also hitting .288, which is a lot better than his usual .260. Jul 26 - 11:07 PM

Kyle Seager went 1-for-4 and plated the Mariners lone run as they were throttled by the Astros at home on Sunday afternoon.

Seager's RBI single in the eighth inning brought home Seth Smith to cut the M's deficit to 8-1, and that was as close as they would get. The hard-hitting third baseman is having a very productive season, slashing .287/.365/.530 with 18 homers and 62 RBI.
Jul 17 - 7:25 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Saturday's loss to the Royals.

Seager took Royals starter Edinson Volquez deep in the fourth inning for his 18th homer of the year. It was the latest in a stretch of good games for the 28-year-old, who is hitting .455 with three home runs, 10 RBI and nine runs scored during a 12-game hitting streak. The hot stretch has Seager's overall line up to .285/.365/.539 with 59 RBI and 53 runs scored.
Jul 9 - 11:22 PM

Kyle Seager reached base all four times he was up Friday, going 2-for-2 with a double and two walks.

It's not easy keeping up with little brother Corey, but Kyle is doing the best he can; his OPS is up to .853 after a really poor start.
Jun 25 - 1:15 AM

Kyle Seager clubbed a two-run homer on Tuesday, accounting for the entirety of his squad's offense in a loss to the Tigers.

His two-run shot off of Justin Verlander in the sixth inning briefly gave the M's a 2-0 lead, but it would be short-lived. The bomb was Seager's lone hit in four at-bats on the night. He's now hitting .269/.350/.511 with 15 homers and 48 RBI on the season.
Jun 21 - 10:16 PM

Kyle Seager belted a solo home run Thursday in a win over the Rays.

He gave the M's a much-needed insurance run by sending Tyler Sturdevant's offering into the seats for a ninth-inning solo home run. Seager has been one of the premier third basemen in fantasy this year with 13 jacks and 45 RBI. He's on pace for 33 homers, which would easily surpass his career-high of 26 set last season.
Jun 16 - 7:59 PM

Kyle Seager launched his 12th home run of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.

His opposite-field shot in the second inning got the scoring going in what turned out to be a slugfest. Seager also drew a pair of walks. The third baseman has gone deep in two out his last four contests and is hitting .306 so far this month.
Jun 14 - 11:17 PM

The Mariners racked up seven RBI singles in a nine-run seventh inning as they stormed back to overcome a 12-2 deficit in Thursday's 16-13 win over the Padres.

The Mariners scored five in the sixth to pull to within 12-7 before they mounted their epic final push in the seventh inning. In that frame, Kyle Seager hit a two-run single, which was followed by RBI hits off the bats of Dae-Ho Lee, Chris Iannetta, Stefen Romero, Shawn O'Malley, Nori Aoki and finally Franklin Gutierrez. Phew. Seager would finish the game with three hits and five RBI -- his third consecutive game of at least three hits. He is putting in an absolutely superb season, slashing .295/.369/.535 with 14 doubles, 10 homers and 38 RBI in 52 games.
Jun 3 - 4:07 AM

Kyle Seager smacked a two-run homer and scored a couple runs in Monday's win over the Padres.

Seager's shot off of Andrew Cashner in the sixth inning put the Mariners ahead for good. He also drew a pair of walks, reaching base three times in four trips to the plate. Although this was his first home run in a couple weeks, Seager has batted .343/.393/.569 this month.
May 30 - 7:24 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with a three run home run in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the A's.

The Mariners already held a 5-1 lead when Seager strolled to the plate to face reliever Marc Rzepczynski with two runners on and nobody out in the eighth inning. He essentially put it out of reach with one swing of the bat, clocking a three-run home run to send the Oakland faithful home in a dour mood. Through his first 94 at-bats, Seager is slashing just .181/.274/.436 with five doubles, six homers and 17 RBI. The sky might be brightening, though, as Seager has notched three doubles, two homers and seven RBI over his last four games.
May 4 - 1:00 AM

Kyle Seager launched fifth home run of the season off Yordano Ventura in Saturday's win over the Royals.

Seager capped off a huge four-run first inning for the Mariners with a three-run blast. He followed it up with a double and a walk later in the game, making it a very productive night overall. The 28-year-old is only hitting .159/.266/.378 on the year but his .129 BABIP is by far the worst in the majors among qualified players. Expect his performance to skyrocket in the coming months, as that batted-ball luck sorts itself out.
May 1 - 1:25 AM

Kyle Seager hit his fourth homer of the year Monday off the Astros' Doug Fister.

Seager is still hitting just .141, but his slump might be nearing its end. It's not like he's been striking out a ton or struggling to hit for power... he should be just fine.
Apr 26 - 1:35 AM

Kyle Seager hit a three-run homer in the Mariners' 9-4 defeat of the Angels on Sunday.

The three-run shot off Angels starter Matt Shoemaker capped off a four-run opening frame for the visiting team. Seager has gotten off to a sluggish start at the plate this season, batting just .134/.227/.299, but he does have three home runs and nine RBI in 17 games. He'll get it all working eventually.
Apr 24 - 7:10 PM

Kyle Seager singled and belted a solo homer in Tuesday's loss to the Indians.

Seager entered the game hitless in his previous 17 at-bats, so he needed this one. The longball came off of Carlos Carrasco, making it all the more encouraging. He's gone deep twice this season and has driven in six runs.
Apr 19 - 9:19 PM

Kyle Seager is not in the Mariners starting lineup for Saturday afternoon's contest against the Yankees.

It's just a day to rest and clear his head after going hitless in his last 11 at-bats to bring his season slash down to .132/.267/.263. Luis Sardinas gets the call in his place and will bat ninth against C.C. Sabathia on Saturday.
