Kyle Seager swatted a solo home run Wednesday in Seattle’s 5-1 loss to the Rangers.
That round-tripper came with one out in the ninth inning off Texas closer Keone Kela. The home run was Seager’s only hit of the afternoon and prevented the Mariners from being shut out for the third time this year. The 30-year-old third baseman has shown good pop with eight homers and 12 doubles this season, though his .241 batting average has been a drain on fantasy owners. May 16 - 7:19 PM

Kyle Seager hit his seventh homer of the season in a loss to the Tigers on Sunday.

Seager's blast was a solo shot in the top of the second off of spot-starter Blaine Hardy. As per usual, Seager has been hot and cold with the bat, but he has three homers in the past four games, so this could be the beginning of another hot streak. His overall line of .248/.310/.458 is very likely to rise substantially over the coming months -- if not the coming weeks.
May 13 - 4:32 PM

Kyle Seager hit a grand slam and added a solo homer as the Mariners blasted the Blue Jays 9-3 on Thursday.

Seager's slam in the first inning was a sign of things to come for Jays starter J.A. Happ, and Seager tacked on a solo shot off reliever Jake Petricka in the fifth inning. The homers gave him six on the year, with 21 RBI and 15 runs scored. Seager is hitting .241/.299/.433 after Thursday's outburst.
May 10 - 10:43 PM

Kyle Seager went 3-for-4 with the go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning to lead the Mariners past the Indians 5-4 on Thursday.

With the game knotted at 4-4, Seager hit a high fly ball to left-center that missed being a two-run homer by a few feet. He settled for the RBI double that gave the M's a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Through 24 games, Seager is hitting .247/.297/.419 with three homers, 13 RBI and eight runs scored.
Apr 26 - 9:45 PM

Kyle Seager singled, doubled and scored the only run of the game in Tuesday's win over the White Sox.

Seager was driven in by Mitch Haniger -- who else? -- with a single in the fourth inning and that's all the Mariners wound up needing. It was a much-needed multi-hit effort for Seager, who now has just four hits over his last nine games.
Apr 24 - 8:15 PM

Kyle Seager broke out for two hits including his second home run of the season Wednesday in the Mariners’ win over the Royals.

Seager provided most of the Mariners’ offense in this one. He got Seattle on the board with a sacrifice fly in the first inning, then broke a 2-2 tie by smashing a two-run blast off Justin Grimm in the eighth. Seager’s batting average isn’t where he wants it—he’s batting just .211 on the year—though he’s been a solid run producer for the M's with nine RBI including seven in his last four games.
Apr 11 - 7:22 PM

Kyle Seager finished 0-for-4 in the Mariners' blowout loss to the Royals on Monday.

Seager wasn't the only Seattle batter to go cold in this one, as the Mariners collected just two total hits as a team. The 30-year-old third baseman slugged his first home run of the year this past weekend, but he's batting just .167/.242/.300 through 33 plate appearances.
Apr 9 - 11:27 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Twins.

After Robinson Cano gave the M's a 1-0 lead with an RBI single in the fourth inning, Seager stepped up to smack a two-run tater off Jose Berrios to help pad the advantage. We'll see if that dinger can get him going a bit. He entered action this weekend having collected just three hits in his first 21 at-bats. Saturday's was his first home run of the year. Seager has cracked at least 20 dingers in six consecutive seasons.
Apr 7 - 6:13 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-2 in a 2-0 win over the Dodgers on Sunday in the Cactus League.

Seager, 30, was facing his brother Corey for the first time ever. Advantage Kyle in this one, as Corey went 0-for-3 with a strikeout. It's the second multi-hit game of the spring for Seager, who went 2-for-2 against the Padres on Friday. He's coming off a season where he battled consistency issues, but was still able to hit 27 homers and drive in 88. Assuming more consistent play in 2018, he should once again rank among the best hot corners in fantasy.
Feb 25 - 5:57 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI in a Cactus League win over the Padres on Friday.

He laced an RBI double off starter Brett Kennedy in the first inning. The 30-year-old is solidly entrenched as the Mariners' starting third baseman after registering a .249 batting average with 27 home runs and 88 RBI a year ago.
Feb 23 - 7:10 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 and homered Friday in a losing cause against the Angels.

Seager had gone nine straight games without driving in a run before delivering the solo homer off Tyler Skaggs tonight. It was his 26th homer of the year. He's been a disappointment, for sure, but it's not like he's been a zero.

Kyle Seager is getting the night off Tuesday.

Gordon Beckham will start at third base and bat eighth versus Athletics right-hander Daniel Mengden. This looks to be a routine breather for Seager.

Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored in a win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Seager hit a two-run jack off Rangers starter Andrew Cashner in the second inning, his 25th homer of the year. He's now got four consecutive years with at least 25 homers. Seager's good night also extended a modest 11-game hitting streak, during which he's hit six of those homers. The streaky 29-year-old is batting .257/.327/.460 with 82 RBI and 67 runs scored in 140 games overall this year.

Kyle Seager crushed his 21st home run, a solo shot off of Justin Verlander, in Tuesday's victory against the Astros.

Seager is eating up Houston pitching, homering in each of the first two games of the set. It's the first time he has home runs in consecutive outings since he has a three-game home run streak from July 15-17 in Chicago and Houston.
Wed, Sep 6, 2017 03:14:00 AM

Kyle Seager drove in both Mariners runs with a homer and a single Monday against the Astros.

It looked like it was finally coming together for Seager in the four weeks after the All-Star break, but he's been relatively quiet since returning from an illness that cost him a few games three weeks ago. The homer tonight was just his second during that stretch. He's up to 20 homers and 71 RBI for the year, but he's still been a disappointment.
