Kyle Seager went 0-for-4 as the Mariners were shut out by the Rangers on Tuesday.

Seager's average falls to .146. The third baseman put himself on the map last season with 32 doubles and 22 home runs, but has been ice cold to start the season.
Apr 15 - 10:59 PM

Kyle Seager homered for the first time this spring, finishing 2-for-4 against the Brewers on Wednesday.

Seager has hit 20-plus homers in each of the last two seasons and should be counted on for as many this season, along with close to 10 stolen bases. As a result, he'll quietly be a valuable fantasy asset.
Mar 19 - 6:57 PM

Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon indicated Sunday that Kyle Seager could be rested more in 2014 than he has been in recent seasons.

The 26-year-old has played 155 and 160 games respectively the past two seasons. McClendon said the idea would be that he'd be stronger and fresher by the end of the seasons. He remains a solid mid-tier option at third base.
Mar 9 - 2:54 PM

Kyle Seager (finger) is back in the Mariners' Cactus League lineup on Tuesday afternoon.

Seager was sidelined for a couple of days because of a jammed finger. It was never a major concern. He is locked in as the Mariners' starting third baseman and should again carry considerable fantasy value this season.
Mar 4 - 9:26 AM

Kyle Seager (thumb) is expected to return to the Mariners' Cactus League lineup on Tuesday.

Seager has been sidelined since last Thursday with a jammed finger. The 26-year-old third baseman should be 100 percent by Opening Day and will be looking to build off the career-best .764 OPS that he posted in 2013.
Mar 3 - 10:12 AM

Kyle Seager (finger) is not in the Mariners' Cactus League lineup on Monday against the Reds.

Seager jammed a finger last Thursday while sliding into third base. It's not believed to be serious, and he still has ample time to get caught up by Opening Day. Seager will start at third base this season for Seattle and should carry significant fantasy value.
Mar 3 - 9:38 AM

Kyle Seager suffered a jammed finger sliding into third base during Thursday's Cactus League game.

The injury is believed to be minor and Seager is expected to return to the Mariners lineup soon. The 26-year-old third baseman's fantasy value for 2014 will be driven based on where he winds up hitting in new manager Lloyd McClendon's lineup.
Mar 2 - 8:24 PM

Kyle Seager is not in the Mariners starting lineup for Friday's game against the Angels.

It's the first day of rest since May 24 for Seager, who had started a franchise record 106 consecutive games at third base. Carlos Truinfel will draw his first career start at the hot corner and hit ninth against Matt Shoemaker.

Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with his 22nd home run of the season against the Royals on Tuesday.

Seager hit a miserable .194/.303/.340 in August but has started off September in a big way, as he's 6-for-12 with Tuesday's home run. The third baseman has followed up his surprising 2012 season with a legitimate breakout campaign, hitting .282/.352/.470 with those 22 home runs. Still just 25, this may not be his peak, either.

Kyle Seager slugged his 19th home run of the season Saturday in the Mariners' loss to the Rangers.

Seager hit an RBI single in the top of the first inning and a solo shot in the third, finishing the evening with two RBI. He has emerged out of his short slump.

Kyle Seager snapped an 0-for-21 hitless streak with a go-ahead two-run homer in Friday's win over the Rangers.

The Mariners were held scoreless through seven innings by Derek Holland, but Seager's blast off Neal Cotts in the eighth inning proved to be the difference in the ballgame. The 25-year-old has 18 homers through 119 games this season, so he's still in fine position to surpass his total of 20 from last year.

Kyle Seager went 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored in a Tuesday win against the Indians.

Seager entered the game having gone just 1-for-12 (.083) in Seattle's first four second-half games. Outside of his post-break haze, Seager, batting .292/.357/.487, has been a line drive machine.

Kyle Seager went 2-for-5 with a solo homer and RBI single in Thursday's loss to the Red Sox.

Seager got the Mariners on the board in the second inning with a solo blast and added an RBI base knock in his next at-bat. The M's plated seven runs on the day, but the Red Sox wound up outlasting them in extra innings.

Kyle Seager went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in the Mariners' 4-2, 10-inning win over the Rangers on Wednesday.

Seager's two-run homer off southpaw Robbie Ross in the 10th inning gave the Mariners a lead they wouldn't relinquish, as he also singled twice on the night. The homer was his 12th, giving him 38 RBI this season. The third baseman owns a .276/.335/.463 line in 82 games.
