Date:

Kyle Seager is out Tuesday against the Orioles due to a stomach virus.

Consider him day-to-day. Danny Espinosa is starting at third base and batting eighth Tuesday versus Orioles left-hander Wade Miley.
Aug 15 - 6:47 PM

Kyle Seager is not in the Mariners' starting lineup Tuesday night against the Orioles.

It's a planned breather for the left-handed-hitting third baseman. Danny Espinosa will handle the hot corner and bat eighth versus O's southpaw Wade Miley.
Aug 15 - 6:13 PM

Kyle Seager swatted his 18th home run, a solo shot off J.C. Ramirez of the Angels, and he added a single with two RBI in Saturday's game.

Seager already has four home runs in August, equaling his power production from the month of July. He has also managed seven RBI over the past nine outings. Seager has a rather marginal batting average, but he has collected 28 doubles, a triple and 18 home runs, so fantasy owners aren't complaining too vehemently about the BA.
Aug 13 - 3:33 AM

Kyle Seager went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's win over the A's.

Seager jumped the Mariners to a 3-0 lead with his three-run big fly off Jharel Cotton in the first inning. He has now launched 17 long balls on the season and has driven in an even 60 runs across 418 at-bats. In addition, Seager is working to a .258/.331/.452 triple-slash for the year. The third baseman has gone yard in three of his last seven games.
Aug 9 - 6:51 PM

Kyle Seager went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Royals.

Seager took Trevor Cahill deep for a solo shot in the second inning. The homer was his 15th of the season and his first since July 24. Overall, the 29-year-old third baseman is slashing .258/.330/.446 in 106 games played.
Aug 3 - 11:41 PM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-3 and scored a run against the Mets on Saturday.

Both of his hits were doubles. He also drew a walk in the ballgame. The veteran third baseman has a .259 batting average with 14 longballs and 55 RBI in 427 plate appearances.
Jul 29 - 8:00 PM

Kyle Seager went 1-for-3 with a two-run single and a walk in Friday's loss to the Mets.

Seager turned a 4-3 deficit around with his two-run single in the fifth inning. That hit brought the Mariners all the way back from a 4-0 disadvantage, but the Mets would spoil the good vibes with three runs in the eighth inning. While Seager is hitting just .256/.329/.435 on the season, the third baseman has shown that he might be ready to put together a hot streak. He has now picked up hits in five straight games.
Jul 29 - 2:15 AM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-4 with two doubles in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.

Seager whacked his second double of the game off Aroldis Chapman in the ninth inning. He represented the tying run with the Mariners trailing 6-4, but the M's were unable to bring him home to make Chapman truly sweat. While the second baseman continues to underwhelm on the whole -- .256/.326/.433 triple-slash -- he has picked up five doubles in his last 10 games.
Jul 23 - 7:44 PM

Kyle Seager and Danny Valencia hit back-to-back homers in the 10th inning to propel the Mariners to a 9-7 win over the Astros on Monday.

Both homers came off Tony Sipp, the Astros' seventh pitcher of the game. The Mariners actually used eight, with seven relievers covering 4 1/3 innings in relief of Ariel Miranda. Perhaps Seager is finally going on that tear we've been waiting for. He's homered in three straight games now, giving him 13 homers for the year. He also collected two singles tonight.
Jul 18 - 12:32 AM

Kyle Seager homered for the second consecutive game as the Mariners outlasted the White Sox in extra innings on Sunday afternoon in Chicago.

Seager tends to hit home runs in bunches, so now is the time to ride him in daily leagues. His solo shot off of Derek Holland got the M's comeback started, cutting their deficit to 5-1. He finished the day 2-for-5 and is hitting .251/.319/.421 with 12 bombs and 49 RBI on the season.
Jul 16 - 5:47 PM

Kyle Seager is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Just a little bit of a breather for Seager. Taylor Motter will work the hot corner in his absence and hit ninth against Royals southpaw Jason Vargas. Ariel Miranda is toeing the rubber for the Mariners.
Jul 5 - 6:13 PM

Kyle Seager went 4-for-5 with a solo homer versus the Angels on Friday.

The homer came with the Angels up 9-0 in the ninth, but his fantasy owners will surely take it. He's hit three in the last week, and he finished June with five, matching his total from the first two months combined.
Jul 1 - 1:13 AM

Kyle Seager went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk and three runs scored Friday versus the Astros.

Seager still hasn't had a hot streak this year, but it's going to come at some point and it's not like he's been a disaster thus far. His .257/.333/.413 line is disappointing, but he's still on pace for 92 RBI.
Jun 24 - 1:53 AM

Kyle Seager posted a game-winning RBI double in the 10th inning Tuesday against the Tigers.

It wasn't all great for Seager, as he also struck out twice and committed his eighth error of the season on a grounder. Perhaps the extra-innings heroics will get him trending in the right direction again after a bit of a rough patch.
