Smith, 23, has hit .321/.392/.465 on three different minor league levels this season. But with limited power potential and only average speed, he projects long-term as a utility outfielder.

It's the reason why Reimold was held out of the Orioles' lineup for the fifth straight day Saturday. Chris Dickerson will likely get the majority of starts at designated hitter in his absence. Given his injury history, Reimold could be looking at an extended stay on the DL. May 18

The right-hander should be ready to rejoin the O's starting rotation in early June. May 20
	3	Miguel Gonzalez D.L. Miguel Gonzalez (thumb) is expected to be activated to start Tuesday against the Yankees. Gonzalez was cleared to return after he threw a simulated game Friday with no issues. The 29-year-old has been sidelined since May 4 with a blister on his right thumb. He has a 4.58 ERA and 22/14 K/BB ratio in 35 1/3 innings in six starts this season. May 17

	6	Tsuyoshi Wada D.L. Tsuyoshi Wada (elbow) allowed four runs over four innings Thursday in a rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk. Wada gave up three hits and issued two walks but he fanned five batters and made it all the way to 78 pitches (45 of which were strikes). He's on his way back from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and is aiming to join the Orioles' starting rotation at some point in early-to-mind June. The left-hander signed a two-year, $8.15 million contract with the O's in December 2011 but has not yet thrown a pitch in a major league game. May 16
