Twins signed OF Quintin Berry to a minor league contract.

Berry possesses game-changing speed and is a career .265/.336/.368 hitter in 342 plate appearances at the big league level. With a strong spring, he could make a push for a reserve role with the Twins, though his fantasy outlook is bleak.

Blue Jays signed OF Quintin Berry to a minor league contract.

The deal was actually official on Wednesday, so Berry would be eligible for the Jays' postseason roster. It would likely take an injury for him to be added.

Angels released OF Quintin Berry.

Berry was batting just .270/.348/.325 in 395 plate appearances this season at the Triple-A level. The 31-year-old outfielder will have to settle for another minor league deal on the free agent market.

Indians re-assigned OFs Quintin Berry and Nick Buss, and RHP Yunesky Maya to minor league camp.

None of the trio was expected to crack the Opening Day roster, so there are no real surprises here. Expect to see Berry, pinch-runner extraordinaire, with the big league club in September.

Angels signed OF Quintin Berry to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Berry spent almost all of 2015 at Triple-A with the Red Sox and Cubs, hitting only .225/.326/.282. The 31-year-old is basically a glorified pinch-runner.

Quintin Berry has elected free agency.

Berry was outrighted off the 40-man roster after the Cubs were eliminated from the playoffs and will now look for a minor league job somewhere this winter. He hit just .225/.326/.282 at Triple-A this season.

Cubs added OF Quintin Berry to their postseason roster.

Berry is taking the place of the injured Addison Russell. With his blazing speed, he'll be a valuable piece off the bench as a pinch-runner and defensive replacement.

Cubs purchased the contract of OF Quintin Berry from Triple-A Iowa.

Fresh off signing with the Cubs last week, Berry will join the major league roster as a pinch-running specialist. The 30-year-old speedster is a perfect 30-for-30 in stolen base attempts during his career, which includes five steals in the postseason.

Cubs signed OF Quintin Berry to a minor league contract; assigned him to Triple-A Iowa.

Berry was cut loose from the Triple-A affiliate of the Red Sox earlier this month after batting just .228/.329/.287 in 106 games. The 30-year-old outfielder is nothing more than organizational depth for the Cubs.

Red Sox signed OF Quintin Berry to a minor league contract.

The deal includes an invitation to spring training. Berry had a good showing in the Orioles' minor leagues last season, batting .285/.382/.367 with 25 stolen bases. He's a good bench player but will have an uphill battle to break camp with the Red Sox given the wealth of outfielders currently on their roster.

Orioles released OF Quintin Berry.

The team claimed Ryan Lavarnway off of waivers and released Berry to make room. Berry's best attribute is his speed, as he stole 30 bases in the minors in 2014. He slashed .285/.382/.367 at Triple-A and could serve as a pinch-runner for whomever picks him up.

Orioles purchased the contract of OF Quintin Berry from Triple-A Norfolk.

Including the postseason, Berry is a perfect 29-for-29 in stolen base attempts in the majors. His speed could come in handy down the stretch.

Orioles reassigned OF Quintin Berry and INF Alexi Casilla to minor league camp.

Berry never really had a shot at an Opening Day roster spot and will function as organizational depth this summer for the Orioles. He is a .268/.339/.371 career hitter in 339 major league plate appearances.

Quintin Berry led off and went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Berry hit just .191 while bouncing between the Royals, Red Sox and Tigers' Triple-A teams last year, but the 29-year-old is trying to win a job with the Orioles as a non-roster invite to camp. Berry's best asset is his speed -- even with the miserable batting average, he still managed to steal 30 bases in the minors in 2013 -- something that the O's might have a use for on their bench. Still, it'll be an uphill climb for him to make the team at this point.
