Berry provided spurts of production last season with the Tigers, but he was never close to getting called up this year while batting just .168/.278/.234 at Triple-A Toledo. It's possible his speed will make him attractive to some on waivers.

There is no structural damage, so the news is good. Berry will sit out for a few more days but should be back in Grapefruit League games at some point in early March.
