Jesus Sanchez has yet to report to Marlins camp due to visa issues.
The 26-year-old right-hander is one of many intriguing arms in what is shaping up to be a very solid bullpen that the Marlins have assembled. He compiled a 2.83 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 50/18 K/BB ratio over 70 innings of work at Triple-A Nashville in 2013, and is a strong candidate to earn a spot in the bullpen, provided he makes it to camp in a timely manner. Marlins signed RHP Jesus Sanchez to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

While an under the radar move, this could prove to be a very savvy signing for the Marlins. The 26-year-old right-hander posted an excellent 2.83 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 50/18 K/BB ratio over 70 innings at Triple-A Nashville in the hard-hitting PCL in 2013. He should be a candidate to earn a spot in the Marlins bullpen.

Brewers sent RHP Jesus Sanchez outright to Triple-A Nashville.

Sanchez enjoyed a successful 2012 season but wasn't able to catch on with the Brewers out of spring. The 26-year-old converted catcher posted a 2.83 ERA in 70 innings with Triple-A Nashville this season.

Brewers purchased the contract of RHP Jesus Sanchez from Triple-A Nashville.

Sanchez is now on the Brewers' 40-man roster. The 25-year-old right-hander found his niche this season as a reliever, posting a stingy 1.63 ERA and 64/22 K/BB ratio over 71 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A.

Phillies released RHP Jesus Sanchez.

Sanchez was the last player from the Bobby Abreu trade still in Philadelphia's organization. In other words, they officially got nothing other than salary relief from the Yankees in the 2006 swap. Sanchez was originally a light-hitting catcher who was converted to pitching with moderate success. He's gone 19-13 over the last three years in the minors with a 3.21 ERA. His biggest problem is that he is 23 and has only reached High-A ball. Philly wanted to clear him off the 40-man roster, but he'll have no problem finding a job with a different organization next season.
