Francisco Peguero has full range of motion with his strained right wrist and will begin strengthening exercises soon.

Peguero had a cast on the wrist until Wednesday, and upon removal it was found he'd healed significantly. The outfielder will begin working his way back, but it's still unclear how long that might take.
Apr 2 - 7:40 PM

Orioles placed OF Francisco Peguero on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right wrist.

It's not clear how long he'll be sidelined. Peguero was signed over the winter after he was non-tendered by the Giants.

Francisco Peguero (wrist) is likely to begin the season on the disabled list, reports MASN Baltimore's Roch Kubatko.

Peguero is still shelved with a strained right wrist, an ailment which will require two more weeks of brace-wearing. "It's frustrating," he said. "I can't do anything right now. I'm here to make the team and I can't do it."

Francisco Peguero (wrist) hit off a tee Saturday.

Peguero has been nursing a strained right wrist for about a week now but is starting to feel better. He could still have time to get ready for Opening Day if he avoids setbacks but probably isn't going to make the big league roster.
Mar 16 - 8:52 AM

X-rays taken Wednesday on Francisco Peguero's wrist showed no major structural damage.

Peguero was diagnosed earlier this week with a strained wrist and remains day-to-day. He was already a longshot to make the Orioles' Opening Day roster and this injury, however minor, could be the final nail.
Mar 13 - 8:57 AM

Francisco Peguero will undergo an MRI on his right wrist sometime within the next few days.

The Orioles are considering the outfielder day-to-day with a strained wrist for now, but it's possible that diagnosis could change based on what the MRI says. Peguero is unlikely to make the Opening Day roster.

Francisco Peguero went 2-for-2 with a three-run triple in the Orioles' 9-7 defeat of the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Orioles signed OF Francisco Peguero to a one-year, $550,000 contract.

Financial details have not yet been disclosed. Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports that the Orioles have agreed to terms with Francisco Peguero.

There's no word on the financials, but Peguero only needs to pass a physical in order to complete the deal. It is a major league contract. The 25-year-old has had a couple stints with the Giants over the past two seasons and batted .316/.354/.408 in Triple-A this past year.

Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette confirmed that the team is on the verge of signing outfielder Francisco Peguero.

"We're working on it, but nothing is in place," said Duquette. "It's not a done deal. We're still in the process." Pueguero is expected to be added to the 40-man roster, so it sounds like he's getting a major league deal. The 25-year-old was let go by the Giants earlier this week, but it wasn't too long ago that he was considered a pretty good prospect.
