Rangers recalled OF Jim Adduci from Triple-A Round Rock.

It will be the first call to the big leagues for the 28-year-old Adduci, who has played 889 games over 10 seasons in the minor leagues with three different organizations. He was hitting .298/.381/.463 with 16 homers, 65 RBI and 32 stolen bases at Round Rock and could be worth a look in deeper AL-only formats.

The 27-year-old outfielder is unlikely to make the Opening Day roster, but has opened some eyes this spring by hitting .444 (12-for-27) with a homer and seven RBI in 19 games. He'll likely serve as organizational depth at Triple-A, and could see time with the big league club in the event of an injury.

Adduci batted .248/.302/.302 with three homers and 23 steals over 367 at-bats at Triple-A Iowa in 2010. He'll get an invite to spring training, but the 25-year-old has a very little shot of making the big league roster.
