Michael Belfiore - S - Orioles

Orioles recalled LHP Michael Belfiore from Triple-A Norfolk.

He's taking Steve Johnson's roster spot. A former sandwich round pick, Belfiore holds a 5.52 ERA and has walked nine over 14 2/3 innings for Norfolk this season, but he's also struck out 17. He'll work in middle relief.

Michael Belfiore - S - Orioles

Orioles purchased the contract of LHP Michael Belfiore from Double-A Bowie.

The move protects him from December's Rule 5 Draft. Belfiore, a 24-year-old reliever, was acquired from the Diamondbacks in May as part of the Josh Bell trade and posted a 2.71 ERA and 78/26 K/BB ratio over 66 1/3 innings this season between High-A and Double-A.

Orioles acquired LHP Mike Belfiore from the Diamondbacks to complete the Josh Bell trade.

He'll be assigned to Double-A Bowie. Belfiore, 23, has a career 4.05 ERA in parts of four seasons in the minors. Baseball America didn't include him among the Diamondbacks' Top 30 prospects during the offseason.

He still has yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities, and the timetable for his return continues to be pushed back. He's virtually irrelevant for fantasy purposes at this point. May 17
	2	Nolan Reimold D.L. Nolan Reimold (hamstring) is not expected to be ready for activation from the disabled list when first eligible. Reimold was placed on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to May 12 with a right hamstring strain. He is eligible to return on May 28 -- next Tuesday -- but his rehab is not that far along. The outfielder should be good to go at some point during the first few weeks of June. May 22

	2	Wei-Yin Chen D.L. Wei-Yin Chen (oblique) will head to the Orioles' spring training complex Tuesday to begin his rehab. Chen landed on the 15-day disabled list May 13 with a strained right oblique and can't pick up a baseball for at least another week. But he's allowed to do cardio work while he waits. The right-hander should be ready to rejoin the O's starting rotation in early June. May 20

	6	Tsuyoshi Wada D.L. Tsuyoshi Wada (elbow) allowed four runs over four innings Thursday in a rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk. Wada gave up three hits and issued two walks but he fanned five batters and made it all the way to 78 pitches (45 of which were strikes). He's on his way back from Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery and is aiming to join the Orioles' starting rotation at some point in early-to-mind June. The left-hander signed a two-year, $8.15 million contract with the O's in December 2011 but has not yet thrown a pitch in a major league game. May 16
