Orioles signed INF Corban Joseph to a minor league contract.

He's now in the same organization as his brother, Caleb. Corban, 26, had been at Double-A with the Braves, where he hit .268/.333/.301 over 40 games. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2013.

Yankees sent INF Corban Joseph outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster. Joseph had a cup of coffee with the Yankees in 2013 and hit just .239 with a .712 OPS in 188 at-bats at Triple-A. The 25-year-old suffered an undisclosed injury that ultimately ended his season and limited him to just 47 games at the minor league level.

Yankees recalled INF Corban Joseph from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

He'll take the place of Kevin Youkilis (back) on the active roster. Joseph, 24, is a .282/.365/.430 hitter over parts of six seasons in the minors and will function as a reserve infielder.

Yankees purchased the contract of 2B Corban Joseph from Double-A Trenton.

Joseph, 23, hit .277/.353/.415 with five homers and 58 RBI over 499 at-bats for Trenton this season. The former fourth-round pick is below average defensively and hasn't progressed much with the bat, but the Yankees are still holding out hope that he'll be a useful piece of the roster eventually.
