Domingo Santana logged a huge game in Saturday's 9-7 loss to the Reds, finishing 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and five total RBI.
Santana notched a two-run double in the first inning, a two-run homer in the fifth and an RBI single in the seventh. Alas, the triple was nowhere to be found and the cycle eluded him. Still, fantastic work by the 23-year-old outfielder. A key piece in the trade that sent Carlos Gomez to Houston, he's now socked six homers with 16 RBI in 25 games as a member of the Brew Crew. Santana's also hitting .293 (24-for-82) with his new team. Sep 19 - 11:15 PM

Domingo Santana went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Marlins on Tuesday.

The two-run shot in the second inning was Santana's fifth in 15 games since being traded to the Brewers. The outfielder is batting .300 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored in those 15 games, and he's hitting .281/.371/.562 in 29 games overall. The Brewers have already admitted to considering the 23-year-old for the center field gig next season, and he'll make it hard for them to look elsewhere if he continues hitting like this.
Sep 8 - 11:33 PM

Brewers assistant general manager Gord Ash said Tuesday that the club could give Domingo Santana a shot to stay in center field next season.

That's assuming both Khris Davis and Ryan Braun are with the club next season. Santana had just 13 games of pro experience in center field before the Brewers acquired him, but he's looked comfortable enough at the position that Milwaukee hasn't ruled out him being a regular there.
Sep 8 - 7:20 PM

Domingo Santana went 2-for-3 with his sixth homer and a walk Thursday against the Pirates.

Santana has four homers in 37 at-bats for the Brewers after hitting two in 39 at-bats for the Astros earlier this year. He lacks range in center, but the Brewers will keep running him out there in order to see how his bat comes along.
Sep 3 - 11:11 PM

Domingo Santana went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Friday's win over the Reds.

In addition to cracking his fifth home run of the year, Santana walked once and struck out once. The former Astro was part of the trade deadline deal that sent Carlos Gomez to Houston. In his first six games played with the Brewers, he's already homered three times. Those in need of some pop in deeper mixed leagues might want to take a flier.
Aug 29 - 1:41 AM

Making his Brewers' debut, Domingo Santana smacked a two-run homer against the Nationals on Friday.

Acquired in last month's Carlos Gomez deal, Santana was batting .380 (30-for-79) with two home runs and 18 RBI over 20 games with Triple-A Colorado Springs prior to Friday's call-up. Strikeouts have been an issue for him, but he has big-time power potential. The Brewers appeared prepared to give him an opportunity in center field even though he has limited experience at the position in pro ball. He's worth a shot in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.
Aug 21 - 11:30 PM

Domingo Santana is starting in center field in his first game with the Brewers on Friday.

Santana has just 13 games of experience in center field between the majors and minors, but the Brewers will test him out there since they're covered in left and right. The 23-year-old hasn't been great in his brief time in the majors, but he's hit .312/.403/.518 during his time at Triple-A and has big power. Those in deeper league should consider rolling the dice on him.
Aug 21 - 2:32 PM

Brewers recalled OF Domingo Santana from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Acquired from the Astros in the Carlos Gomez trade, Santana sports a .333/.426/.573 batting line with 18 homers and 77 RBI at the Triple-A level this season. The Brewers are set in the corner outfield spots, so it will be interesting to see if they give Santana a look in center field, a position he's played sparingly. He's worth a shot in deeper leagues if he can find his way into regular at-bats.
Aug 21 - 10:12 AM

Brewers acquired OF Domingo Santana, OF Brett Phillips, LHP Josh Hader, RHP Adrian Houser and international bonus slot #76 from the Astros for OF Carlos Gomez and RHP Mike Fiers.

The 22-year-old outfielder has seen limited action with the big league club this season, but has mashed to the tune of .320/.426/.582 with 16 homers and 59 RBI in 75 games at Triple-A Fresno. With little left to prove in the minor leagues, he could immediately get an opportunity to play everyday in Milwaukee.
Jul 30 - 7:56 PM

Astros optioned OF Domingo Santana to Triple-A Fresno.

The Astros needed to clear a roster spot for Jake Marisnick. Santana hit .256 with 2 HR and 8 RBI during his 14-game stint with Houston. The 22-year-old has a higher ceiling than Alex Presley and could get another call-up while George Springer is on the disabled list with a broken wrist.
Jul 4 - 5:26 PM

Domingo Santana went 1-for-2 with his second home run of the season in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Santana broke a scoreless tie in the third inning with a solo home run off of Hector Santiago. He was pinch-hit for in the eighth with Preston Tucker. Santana has started only four games and is 3-for-12 overall with a pair of home runs and five RBI.
Jun 23 - 1:38 AM

Domingo Santana launched his first major league home run Thursday against the Rockies.

It was a pinch-hit three-run shot off Scott Oberg in the eighth inning. Colby Rasmus is due to come back from the bereavement list on Friday or Saturday, so the expectation has been that Santana will be headed back to Triple-A. However, that could change depending on Jake Marisnick's hamstring.
Jun 18 - 6:52 PM

Domingo Santana will start in left field and bat seventh Tuesday against the Rockies.

Santana was called up Tuesday with Colby Rasmus going on the bereavement list. He'll likely be sent back down to Triple-A in a couple of days.
Jun 16 - 11:42 AM

Astros recalled OF Domingo Santana from Triple-A Fresno.

Santana has hit a robust .320/.444/.584 with 11 homers and 38 RBI for Fresno this season. He'll likely only be up for a few days while Colby Rasmus is on the bereavement list.
Jun 15 - 11:37 PM

Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Astros are slated to recall Domingo Santana.

He'll likely only be up for a few days while Colby Rasmus is on the bereavement list. Santana had an awful time in his brief cup of coffee last season, going hitless in 17 at-bats while striking out 14 times. He's rebounded with a monster season at Triple-A Fresno this year, though, batting .320/.444/.584 with 11 homers and 38 RBI (though he's still striking out a ton with 69 whiffs in 241 plate appearances.
