Domingo Santana went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in the loss to the Reds on Monday.
Santana hasn't had to worry about playing time with Christian Yelich on the disabled list, but he just hasn't done much with his opportunity; he's yet to homer in 61 at-bats this season. He'll probably sit against a lot of right-handers if the Brewers can get healthy. Apr 16 - 10:58 PM

Domingo Santana (leg) reached base twice and scored a run Saturday.

Santana admitted to being sore following Friday's collision with teammate Lorenzo Cain, but he was back in the lineup a day later and should be fine. Christian Yelich (oblique) is due back soon, but Ryan Braun's (back) status now being up in the air helps Santana's bid for playing time.

Domingo Santana said after Friday's game that he was sore after colliding with teammate Lorenzo Cain in the outfield while converging on a fly ball.

Santana said he isn't sure if he'll be able to play on Saturday. It doesn't sound like he's at risk of a substantial layoff, but expect him to get a day of rest on Saturday to be on the safe side.

Domingo Santana will not be in the starting lineup on Friday against the Cardinals in the Brewers' home opener.

Santana is essentially replaced by Eric Thames who will bat fifth and play first base, and Ryan Braun will be in left field. The rest of the Milwaukee lineup against the Cardinals: Lorenzo Cain CF, Christian Yelich, RF, Braun LF, Travis Shaw 3B, Thames 1B, Manny Pina C, Jonathan Villar 2B, Orlando Arcia SS, and Zach Davies starting on the mound.

Domingo Santana went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Rockies.

Santana slugged a solo home run with one out in the fifth inning, his first long ball of the spring. He's played well in the early going of Cactus League action after working to a .278/.371/.505 triple-slash with 30 homers and 85 RBI during the 2017 season.

Domingo Santana went 2-for-2 with two doubles and a walk as the split-squad Brewers topped the Cubs 2-1 on Friday.

It was a nice start to the spring for Santana, but barring an injury or a trade, he’s likely to begin the season in a diminished role following the additions of Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain. The best outcome for all involved would be for Santana to be moved for a pitcher, but nothing has materialized as of yet.

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that the Diamondbacks were "very interested" in Domingo Santana this offseason.

Cafardo says that the Brewers were likely targeting Patrick Corbin in trade talks with the D'Backs, but they were "rebuffed." It's hard to imagine Arizona rejecting a one-for-one Santana-for-Corbin trade proposal considering that Corbin is a free agent after this season and Santana isn't even arbitration-eligible yet, so there were surely other players involved here if in fact talks did center around Santana and Corbin. The Brewers are saying at the moment that they're happy to keep Santana and play Ryan Braun more at first base, but it still seems to make the most sense for them to deal Santana for pitching.

Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reports that the Brewers are getting close to a trade.

The club has been shopping dynamic outfielder Domingo Santana this offseason, but have yet to find a potential match in any deal. The Brewers have a logjam of outfielders, so making a move prior to the start of spring training seems like an inevitability.

According to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick, the trade market for Domingo Santana is "not as brisk as Milwaukee might have hoped."

Santana broke out with an .875 OPS, 30 home runs, 85 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 88 runs scored in 151 games this past season for the Brewers, but his defensive ratings in the outfield are extremely poor and there was some hope in the Milwaukee front office that a sell-high move could be made this winter. It sounds like that won't happen. Santana, 25, is under the Brewers' control through 2021.

According to Jerry Crasnick of ESPN, the Brewers are listening on outfielder Domingo Santana.

Crasnick notes that the Brewers "don't appear to be getting much traction" in trade talks. The price tag for Santana is understandably high, as the 25-year-old slugged 30 homers with an .875 OPS this past season and isn't even arbitration-eligible yet. Ideally, the Brewers would be able to swing him for an affordable impact starting pitcher.

Domingo Santana went 3-for-5 and slugged a two-run dinger in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals.

His bomb off starter Luke Weaver put his club ahead 6-0 in the third inning but they ended up blowing the game and their shot at a Wild Card berth. The 25-year-old outfielder and former Phillies and Astros prospect has burst upon the fantasy scene with a .278/.371/.505 triple slash with 30 home runs, 85 RBI, 88 runs and 15 stolen bases in 151 games this year.

Domingo Santana blasted a three-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Reds.

Santana took advantage of a Deck McGuire hanging curveball in the first inning, ripping a no-doubter over the left field wall. The young outfielder is now one shy of 30 bombs in what has been a huge season that's seen Santana post a .276/.369/.502 batting line.

Domingo Santana is not in the Brewers' starting lineup on Saturday.

It looks to be just a regular day of rest for the hard-hitting outfielder. He'll surely be back in the lineup on Sunday, a day that he has posted massive offensive numbers this season.

Domingo Santana was everywhere for the Brewers on Thursday, going 2-for-5 with a double, a homer, a stolen base and two runs scored in a loss to the Cubs.

Santana's 28th homer of the season got the Brewers on the scoreboard in the fourth inning, and he almost single-handedly gave his team the lead in the eighth when he doubled and then stole third base to put himself 90 feet away from scoring. An Eric Thames RBI single that plated Santana gave the Brewers a late lead, but they couldn't hang on, and it was actually Santana who faltered in a big spot in the ninth, striking out with the bases loaded and one out. Failures have been few and far between for the 25-year-old in what's been a breakout year, as he's now hitting .281/.374/.505 with those 28 homers, 80 RBI, 84 runs scored and 14 steals overall.

Domingo Santana went 2-for-4 and homered for the only run of the game in Tuesday's win over the Pirates.

Santana has nine hits and nine RBI in his last five games. All four of the Brewers' best hitters -- Santana, Travis Shaw, Ryan Braun and Eric Thames -- have OPSs between .860 and .880 right now.
