Domingo Santana (elbow) was scratched from a rehab game Monday at Low-A Wisconsin.

Santana is still experiencing tenderness in his right elbow and forearm, which obviously isn't a great sign. He's been on the disabled list since June 10.

Domingo Santana (elbow) began a rehab assignment with Low-A Wisconsin on Saturday.

Santana has been on the shelf since June 10 with right elbow soreness. He's likely to need at least a week or so worth of game action before being activated.

Domingo Santana (elbow) is aiming to begin a minor league rehab assignment in a week or so.

Santana has resumed baseball activities after a lengthy shutdown period. The young outfielder was placed on the disabled list June 10 with right elbow soreness and will continue to be eased back into action. We wouldn't expect to see him before mid-August or so.
Jul 15 - 5:46 PM

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Wednesday that Domingo Santana (elbow) is "not making much progress."

Counsell added that it's "doubtful" the outfielder will make it back before the All-Star break. "He's not on the field yet for throwing activities," the skipper said. "So, I don't think he'll make it before the All-Star break." Santana has played in only 40 games this season due to a sore shoulder and now a sore elbow. "We're not making much progress, I guess, which is frustrating for Domingo," Counsell said. "You've got to get him pain-free before we head him to the next step. Diagnostically, we feel like we've done everything that needs to be done. It's just in the healing stage. There's nothing that needs to be done. Just rest and therapy. We're trying to get him to progress to the point of plyometric exercises inside, then you start throwing."
Jun 30 - 10:12 AM

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Friday that Domingo Santana (elbow) has seen little improvement and will likely be sidelined through the All-Star break.

Santana has been limited to just 18 games since the beginning of May due to a shoulder and more recently an elbow issue. He's already missed two weeks in his current disabled list stint and it doesn't appear he's close to resuming baseball activities, let alone make a return. In addition to the injuries, Santana sports a pretty disappointing .234/.347/.391 batting line this season.
Jun 24 - 5:53 PM

Brewers placed Domingo Santana on the 15-day disabled list with right elbow soreness.

Santana missed two weeks with a right shoulder strain before being activated from the disabled list on June 3. Now, back to the disabled list after just one healthy week, this time with an elbow issue. Ramon Flores and Alex Presley figure to receive the bulk of the right field at-bats in the 23-year-old's absence.
Jun 10 - 5:22 PM

Domingo Santana is dealing with elbow soreness.

Santana will miss his second straight game Thursday against the Mets. He just came off the disabled list a week ago after missing two weeks with a strained shoulder. Ramon Flores and Alex Presley will handle right field during his absence.
Jun 9 - 6:22 PM

Domingo Santana is not in the Brewers' lineup Thursday against the Mets.

He was also absent from Wednesday's lineup. It's unclear if this has anything to do with the shoulder injury that sent Santana to the disabled list last month. Ramon Flores will fill in at right field and bat eighth against veteran right-hander Bartolo Colon.
Jun 9 - 5:19 PM

Brewers activated OF Domingo Santana from the 15-day disabled list.

Santana missed just over two weeks with a right shoulder strain. He'll return to being the club's regular right fielder.
Jun 3 - 2:58 PM

Domingo Santana (shoulder) could be activated from the disabled list on Friday.

Santana will rejoin the Brewers as long as he doesn't suffer a setback in Thursday night's rehab game for Double-A Biloxi. He's gone 1-for-3 with a homer and two walks during his rehab assignment. Alex Presley and Ramon Flores have split time in right field during Santana's two-week absence.
Jun 2 - 6:06 PM

Domingo Santana (shoulder) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Biloxi.

Santana has been out since May 18 with a lingering injury to his right shoulder. The 23-year-old should be back with the Brewers within a week or so, but Jonathan Villar has run away with the leadoff spot during his absence.
May 31 - 11:11 AM

Brewers placed OF Domingo Santana on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 19, with a right shoulder strain.

Santana initially suffered the injury at the beginning of the month and has been in and out of the lineup since. The Brewers finally decided it would be best to just shut him down for a while. Keon Broxton has been recalled to take his roster spot and should see plenty of time in right field.
May 20 - 2:28 PM

Domingo Santana was scratched from the Brewers' starting lineup Thursday versus the Cubs.

His right shoulder is acting up again. Ryan Braun, Jonathan Lucroy, and Santana are all now absent for the afternoon series finale against Cubs right-hander Jason Hammel. Santana is considered day-to-day for the time being.
May 19 - 1:35 PM

Domingo Santana went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's win over the Padres.

Santana scored the only run of the game, which came on a bases-loaded double play in the bottom of the first inning. He and no. 2 hitter Jonathan Villar reached base six times, yet the Brewers only scored once. It was a night of wasted opportunity. Santana is now hitting .255/.350/.412 with three home runs. He has yet to steal a single base after swiping four in 52 games a year ago.
