Manny Machado went 3-for-6 with a grand slam and five RBI in the Orioles' 11-2 drubbing of the Rays on Tuesday.
Machado's slam in the fourth inning capped a six-run frame for the O's. He's now hit in seven straight games to run his line up to .306/.358/.565 overall. The 24-year-old has 34 home runs, 90 RBI and 95 runs scored and should garner some MVP votes this fall. Sep 6 - 11:01 PM

Manny Machado blasted one of his club's four home runs on Friday as the Orioles blasted the Yankees 8-0.

Machado belted his two-run homer in the fourth inning, increasing the O's advantage to 8-0. Pedro Alvarez and Chris Davis each smashed two-run shots of their own in the contest while Mark Trumbo added a solo shot for his league-leading 41st blast. Machado finished the night 1-for-2 plus a pair of walks and two runs scored. He's now hitting an impressive .306/.358/.565 with 33 homers and 85 RBI on the season.

Manny Machado went 2-for-4 with a pair of homers and three RBI in Friday’s loss to the Yankees.

Machado was the only bright spot on this night for Baltimore, as he slugged a solo homer in the first inning before going deep again in the sixth, this time for a two-run blast. This was the ninth multi-homer game of his career and his third of the season. He’s batting .305/.358/.564 with 31 homers and 81 RBI through 123 games on the year. While the speed hasn’t been for fantasy owners, he’s poised to blow away his career-highs in the power department.

Manny Machado went 4-for-6 with a homer and four total RBI to lead the Orioles over the Nationals 10-8 on Wednesday.

Machado's two-run bomb in the first inning set the tone for the high-scoring night. He then added run-scoring singles in the second and eighth innings. The four hits raised his batting average to .306 in 494 at-bats. The home run was his 29th. Machado has scored 87 runs and driven in 78. He has yet to steal a base after swiping 20 last year, but that's kind of a side concern at this point for his fantasy owners.
Aug 25 - 12:13 AM

Manny Machado went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and two runs scored in a win over the Astros on Thursday.

Machado swatted one of the Orioles' six homers on the evening. The dinger was his 27th of the season, giving him 72 RBI and 83 runs scored. He's cooled from his early season pace -- how could he not have, batting .334 with a 1.001 OPS through June -- but the 24-year-old is now hitting .304/.361/.552 overall.
Aug 18 - 10:54 PM

Manny Machado crushed the universe in Sunday's 10-2 win over the White Sox, smashing three homers and finishing with seven RBI.

Look out below. Machado got things started with a two-run home run off poor, poor James Shields in the first inning, then bested that feat just one frame later (again off Shields) with a three-run tater. He then cracked a third homer -- another two-run shot, though not off Shields -- just one inning later. Alas, he was unable to find a hit in any one of his final three at-bats. Regardless, spectacular work by Machado. The 24-year-old third-baseman boasts a .307/.366/.557 triple-slash and has rocked 25 homers and driven in 67 runs over 427 at-bats. One oddity remains, though. Machado has not stolen a base after swiping 20 last season. He has attempted just three in 2016, perhaps a sign that the 20 from a year ago are something of an outlier.
Aug 7 - 7:05 PM

Manny Machado clubbed his 22nd home run of the season on Friday, but it wasn't enough to lead the Orioles past the Blue Jays.

Machado's solo shot came in the eighth inning and pulled the O's to within a run at 6-5, but that would be as close as they would get. He finished the night 1-for-2 plus a pair of walks and scored three of his club's five total runs. Machado is now slashing .309/.370/.554 with 22 homers and 58 RBI on the year.
Jul 29 - 10:17 PM

Manny Machado cracked a solo home run for his only hit and the Orioles' only run of the night on Wednesday.

Machado is having a fantastic season. Now slashing .311/.369/.552 with 21 longballs, 68 runs and 57 RBI. The only thing he doesn't do is run -- he hasn't stolen a base all year after swiping 20 last year.
Jul 27 - 10:35 PM

Manny Machado is in the Orioles' lineup Thursday.

Machado sat out Wednesday's game while battling through the same flu bug that has affected Chris Davis and manager Buck Showalter. Manny is starting at third base and batting third Thursday versus the Yankees.
Jul 21 - 11:18 AM

Manny Machado (illness) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

The Orioles' clubhouse has been racked by a wildfire-esque stomach bug which has sidelined Machado, Chris Davis and Matt Wieters. Ryan Flaherty will bat eighth and handle the hot corner in Machado's absence. It is possible that Davis or Machado could be used in a pinch should the O's run into the need.
Jul 20 - 5:49 PM

Manny Machado went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Dodgers.

Machado's three-run homer off Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda in the fifth inning snapped a 1-1 tie and provided the final cushion as the Orioles improved to 48-35. The 23-year-old (he turns 24 on Wednesday) phenom has posted a beautiful first half to his 2016 season, slashing .324/.380/.590 with 29 doubles, 19 homers and 53 RBI across 324 at-bats.
Jul 6 - 1:52 AM

Manny Machado went deep for the 18th time as part of a 2-for-4 night as the Orioles defeated the Rays 6-3 on Friday.

The elite third baseman now sports a mammoth .320/.382/.615 slash line with 52 runs and 43 RBI. He has yet to steal a base this year after swiping 20 last year. Still 23 years old, Machado should be a first round fantasy draft pick for years to come.
Jun 24 - 10:43 PM

Manny Machado will begin serving his four-game suspension on Sunday.

Machado has officially dropped his appeal and will sit out the Orioles' series finale against the Blue Jays along with a makeup game Monday versus the Rangers and a two-game set against the Padres. He was given the four-game suspension for charging at Royals starter Yordano Ventura on June 7. Ventura has also dropped his appeal and will serve an eight-game sentence.
Jun 18 - 7:15 PM

Manny Machado could drop the appeal of his four-game suspension.

Machado's appeal is slated to be heard Tuesday, but he could drop it before then. It sounds like the O's are just waiting for J.J. Hardy (foot) to come off the disabled list, which is expected to happen Saturday or Sunday. Machado could drop his appeal at that point.
Jun 17 - 4:39 PM

Manny Machado's suspension appeal will be heard on Tuesday.

He was suspended four games for charging the mound on Yordano Ventura after getting hit by a pitch in a game on June 7. Machado isn't going to get his ban completely overturned but the league might not knock off a game or two. Fantasy owners should expect to be without Machado for a few games next week.
