In addition to the three hits, Machado also knocked in a run, via a fifth inning single off Yankee starter Adam Warren. Apr 29 - 4:16 PM

Manny Machado hit a pair of homers to drive in four runs Thursday against the Blue Jays.

Apr 23 - 10:03 PM

Manny Machado went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in the Orioles' loss to the Red Sox on Monday.

Machado is just 7-for-45 this season and owns a troubling .156/.231/.244 overall slash line. He showed some signs of life late last week, but that has not carried over. The 22-year-old third baseman appeared in just 82 games in 2014 because of knee injuries.
Apr 20 - 3:22 PM

Manny Machado hit his first homer and walked Wednesday versus the Yankees.

After opening the season 0-for-15, Machado has gone 5-for-15 with a couple of extra-base hits in his last four games. He's hit sixth seven times and second twice so far. Obviously, the second spot would be better for his fantasy value, but he needs to outproduce Steve Pearce in order to reclaim his old place.
Apr 15 - 10:33 PM

Manny Machado hit his first spring homer and doubled against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Machado busted out of a little 2-for-20 slump. He's had a busy spring, playing in 12 games and racking up 37 at-bats with two weeks still to go. That's at his request, though; he wanted to play more than the typical regular this spring following his knee surgery last August.
Mar 22 - 5:25 PM

Manny Machado went 3-for-3 with a double and a steal Tuesday as the Orioles beat the Yankees 3-1.

Mar 10 - 4:07 PM

Manny Machado (knee) wants to get extra at-bats this spring.

Machado underwent surgery last August to repair a partially-torn ligament in his right knee, but he hasn't had any setbacks in his rehab. It sounds like he'll be a full-go this spring, so he's right on pace for the start of the season. The 22-year-old could be primed for a big year if he can stay healthy.
Feb 24 - 8:43 AM

Manny Machado (knee) expects to be ready for spring training.

Machado underwent surgery last August to repair a partially-torn ligament in his right knee, but hasn't encountered any setbacks in his rehab and worked out at the Orioles' minicamp on Tuesday. The only thing he hasn't done is fielding grounders side-to-side, but that should happen soon enough. He still has one check-up scheduled with Dr. Neal ElAttrache prior to spring training, but it appears that he is on track for the start of the 2015 season.
Jan 14 - 12:07 PM

Manny Machado will attend Baltimore's Jan. 14 minicamp so that the club can examine his knee.

Machado's 2014 season ended prematurely when he underwent surgery in late August to repair a partially-torn ligament in his right knee. Both the organization and the 22-year-old are optimistic about Machado's odds of being ready for spring training, but that's no sure thing.
