Keon Broxton (wrist) is back in Tuesday's Cactus League lineup.
Great news. Broxton was removed from Friday's Cactus League game due to discomfort in his surgically-repaired right wrist, but he feels fine now. Assuming he can stay healthy, he's looking like a serious breakout candidate this year. Mar 21 - 12:28 PM

Keon Broxton was removed from Friday's Cactus League outing due to discomfort in his surgically-repaired right wrist.

The club is calling his exit precautionary and Broxton said afterwards that he merely felt a twinge in his wrist on a check swing. Pay close attention to his status the next few days, but this sounds minor and shouldn't impact his availability for the start of the regular season.
Mar 17 - 6:41 PM

Keon Broxton went 3-for-3 with a homer, three RBI, a walk, and three runs scored in Monday’s blowout victory over the Mariners.

Broxton slugged a two-run homer in the bottom of the second inning and later added an RBI double in a marathon 10-run fourth inning. The 26-year-old finished last season strong and is hitting .387/.486/.806 through 11 games this spring. If he can bring down the strikeouts, he could be in line for a significant breakout.

Keon Broxton went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Saturday's Cactus League win over the Rangers.

Broxton has now swatted two home runs this spring. In late February, Brewers manager Craig Counsell said that he would like to install the 26-year-old outfielder high in the batting order -- potentially as high as second. These comments ride mostly on the strength of a .294/.399/.538 triple-slash, eight homers and 16 steals posted in the second half of the 2016 campaign. The first half of the season? Not so hot. Broxton saw 64 at-bats prior to the All-Star Break and managed a paltry .125/.253/.188 triple-slash in that space.
Mar 4 - 7:29 PM

Brewers manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that he would "love" to hit Keon Broxton high in the batting order if they can "get (him) going."

Jonathan Villar is almost surely locked into the leadoff spot for the Brew Crew, but Broxton might have a chance to hit second behind Villar and in front of Ryan Braun. It would obviously be a plum spot for a guy who closed with a strong .294/.399/.538 batting line, eight homers and 16 steals in the second half last season. Of course, Broxton will have to avoid another sluggish first half in order to pull this off.
Feb 28 - 7:12 PM

Keon Broxton said Saturday that it took longer than expected for his broken wrist to heal, but that he is now fully recovered.

Broxton's season ended in September after fracturing his right wrist in a collision with the outfield wall in Chicago. The 26-year-old hit .242/.354/.430 with nine homers and 23 stolen bases in 244 plate appearances with the Brewers in 2016.

Keon Broxton pleaded no contest Monday to his trespassing charge.

A pre-trial deal was reached. Broxton was involved in an incident in November in which he refused to leave an area following a fight despite numerous warnings from police. It seems unlikely that Broxton will face any sort of discipline from Major League Baseball.

Keon Broxton was arrested in Tampa, Florida early Friday morning and charged with misdemeanor trespassing.

Broxton refused to leave an area following a fight despite numerous warnings from police. The arrest report said that Broxton was "extremely intoxicated" and had "visible injuries to his face but declined medical attention." It's obviously an incident that Broxton wishes wouldn't have taken place, but it won't affect his status as the likely Opening Day center fielder for the Brewers next season.

Keon Broxton has been diagnosed with a fractured right wrist.

Broxton suffered the injury after collision with the brick outfield wall at Wrigley Field following a catch Friday. It's a brutal way for his season to end, as the toolsy outfielder had been looking like he was starting to figure things out. Kirk Nieuwenhuis should serve as the club's main center fielder down the stretch.

Keon Broxton left Friday's game against the Cubs with an apparent right arm/wrist injury after colliding with the outfield wall.

Broxton made a great running catch but then ran into the wall at Wrigley field, which, of course, is brick. The Brewers' trainer made sure not to let Broxton move his arm as he helped him off, so it could be a serious injury here. Milwaukee should provide an update shortly.

Keon Broxton went 2-for-3 and socked a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Saturday.

He took Adam Wainwright deep in the fifth inning to produce the Brewers' only run of the evening. Broxton has delivered a nice blend of power and speed in limited time this season. He has gotten only 186 at-bats this year but has produced a .247 batting average with seven home runs and 22 stolen bases. Those numbers would be very good if projected over a full season's worth of playing time. He has been playing nearly everyday the last few weeks and doing enough to help his fantasy owners, especially in terms of stolen bases. The 26-year-old could be a sleeper in drafts next year if he is in line for a starting role in Milwaukee.

Keon Broxton went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two stolen bases in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

Broxton had an RBI single in the Brewers' four-run eighth inning, and the stolen bases were the 20th and 21st of his season. It's been a tale of two seasons for the 26-year-old, who struggled mightily during the first half but has five homers and 14 steals to go with a .304 batting average in the second half. Broxton isn't a star in the making, but fantasy owners in the market for cheap speed could do worse.

Keon Broxton finished 2-for-5 with two solo homers in the Brewers' 7-6 comeback victory over the Mariners on Sunday.

Broxton went yard off M's starter Ariel Miranda in the top of the fourth inning and then spurred a four-run ninth-inning rally with a shot off Tom Wilhelmsen that led off that decisive final frame. Broxton has an impressive .808 OPS and six home runs in 53 games this year in the major leagues, to go along with 17 stolen bases. The dynamic 26-year-old center fielder should continue to provide sneaky fantasy value down the stretch.

Keon Broxton went 1-for-4 and swiped two bases as the Brewers' leadoff hitter on Wednesday.

The Brewers demonstrate how little they care about winning each time Orlando Arcia is listed in the second spot in the order, so why not let Broxton lead off and steal bases at every opportunity? He's not going to help elsewhere, but he could steal enough bases to be an asset in mixed leagues the rest of the way.

Keon Broxton went 2-for-5 with an RBI single in Monday's extra-innings loss to the Braves.

The Brewers managed only eight hits over 12 innings, but the speedy Broxton -- who also had a stolen base -- picked up a couple of them. He also had a 5-for-5 day over the weekend and is sporting a .389 average over 13 games since being recalled from Triple-A. Broxton could have some fantasy value down the stretch if he can get regular playing time in center field.
