Keon Broxton has been diagnosed with a fractured right wrist.
Broxton suffered the injury after collision with the brick outfield wall at Wrigley Field following a catch Friday. It's a brutal way for his season to end, as the toolsy outfielder had been looking like he was starting to figure things out. Kirk Nieuwenhuis should serve as the club's main center fielder down the stretch. Sep 16 - 4:29 PM

Keon Broxton left Friday's game against the Cubs with an apparent right arm/wrist injury after colliding with the outfield wall.

Broxton made a great running catch but then ran into the wall at Wrigley field, which, of course, is brick. The Brewers' trainer made sure not to let Broxton move his arm as he helped him off, so it could be a serious injury here. Milwaukee should provide an update shortly.
Sep 16 - 3:17 PM

Keon Broxton went 2-for-3 and socked a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Saturday.

He took Adam Wainwright deep in the fifth inning to produce the Brewers' only run of the evening. Broxton has delivered a nice blend of power and speed in limited time this season. He has gotten only 186 at-bats this year but has produced a .247 batting average with seven home runs and 22 stolen bases. Those numbers would be very good if projected over a full season's worth of playing time. He has been playing nearly everyday the last few weeks and doing enough to help his fantasy owners, especially in terms of stolen bases. The 26-year-old could be a sleeper in drafts next year if he is in line for a starting role in Milwaukee.
Sep 10 - 10:18 PM

Keon Broxton went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two stolen bases in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

Broxton had an RBI single in the Brewers' four-run eighth inning, and the stolen bases were the 20th and 21st of his season. It's been a tale of two seasons for the 26-year-old, who struggled mightily during the first half but has five homers and 14 steals to go with a .304 batting average in the second half. Broxton isn't a star in the making, but fantasy owners in the market for cheap speed could do worse.
Sep 4 - 12:25 AM

Keon Broxton finished 2-for-5 with two solo homers in the Brewers' 7-6 comeback victory over the Mariners on Sunday.

Broxton went yard off M's starter Ariel Miranda in the top of the fourth inning and then spurred a four-run ninth-inning rally with a shot off Tom Wilhelmsen that led off that decisive final frame. Broxton has an impressive .808 OPS and six home runs in 53 games this year in the major leagues, to go along with 17 stolen bases. The dynamic 26-year-old center fielder should continue to provide sneaky fantasy value down the stretch.
Aug 21 - 7:38 PM

Keon Broxton went 1-for-4 and swiped two bases as the Brewers' leadoff hitter on Wednesday.

The Brewers demonstrate how little they care about winning each time Orlando Arcia is listed in the second spot in the order, so why not let Broxton lead off and steal bases at every opportunity? He's not going to help elsewhere, but he could steal enough bases to be an asset in mixed leagues the rest of the way.
Aug 17 - 11:25 PM

Keon Broxton went 2-for-5 with an RBI single in Monday's extra-innings loss to the Braves.

The Brewers managed only eight hits over 12 innings, but the speedy Broxton -- who also had a stolen base -- picked up a couple of them. He also had a 5-for-5 day over the weekend and is sporting a .389 average over 13 games since being recalled from Triple-A. Broxton could have some fantasy value down the stretch if he can get regular playing time in center field.
Aug 8 - 11:25 PM

Keon Broxton reached base six times, going 5-for-5 with a walk, a steal, a run scored and two RBI on Saturday.

He had a great game but still got outshined by Ryan Braun today. The five hits lifted his batting average from .170 to .215 in one fell swoop. The stolen base was his ninth in 40 games.
Aug 7 - 12:50 AM

Brewers recalled OF Keon Broxton from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Broxton will rejoin the Brew Crew ahead of Monday night's series opener against the Diamondbacks. The 26-year-old outfielder has batted just .125/.253/.188 in 75 plate appearances this season at the MLB level.
Jul 25 - 1:59 PM

Brewers optioned OF Keon Broxton to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

The 26-year-old speedster has mashed at the Triple-A level this season, but just can't seem to figure out big league pitching. He's hitting just .125/.253/.188 in 75 plate appearances with the big league club. He'll return to an everyday role at Triple-A.
Jul 3 - 9:45 PM

Keon Broxton went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts Friday against the Dodgers.

The Brewers had some hopes for Broxton after he started strong this spring, but he's 7-for-55 with a whopping 30 strikeouts during his stints in the majors. At least he's 6-for-7 stealing bases.
Jun 18 - 2:08 AM

Brewers recalled OF Keon Broxton from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

In 38 at-bats with the big league club this season, Broxton has picked up just one hit. He figures to serve as bench depth, but could see a few extra at-bats with Domingo Santana (elbow) landing on the disabled list.
Jun 10 - 5:26 PM

Brewers optioned OF Keon Broxton to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Broxton has had a rough go of it in his first couple stints with the Brew Crew, hitting only .105/.244/.132. The Brewers will give him another shot at some point.
Jun 3 - 3:01 PM

Brewers recalled OF Keon Broxton from Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Brocton went hitless in 16 at-bats with the Brew Crew earlier this season, but he's since batted .301/.390/.583 with seven homers and 15 steals for Colorado Springs. He figures to see plenty of playing time while Domingo Santana (shoulder) is on the disabled list and Ryan Braun (back, wrist) is banged up.
May 20 - 2:29 PM

Keon Broxton is expected to be recalled by the Brewers on Friday.

The move isn't official yet, but Triple-A Colorado Springs manager Rick Sweet revealed the news in an interview Thursday night that Broxton was being promoted. The speedster went hitless in 16 at-bats with the Brew Crew earlier this season, but he's since batted .301/.390/.583 with seven homers and 15 steals for Colorado Springs. Kirk Nieuwenhuis has been playing well in center field, but Broxton could see regular at-bats if Domingo Santana (shoulder) is placed on the disabled list.
