Keon Broxton clobbered another homer as part of a three-hit, three-RBI afternoon Sunday in the Brewers’ win over the Braves.
Broxton also stole his 13th base of the season. His home run was a 366-foot solo shot off Julio Teheran in the second inning. Broxton was struggling for a while but the threat of top prospect Lewis Brinson seems to have lit a fire under him. Seven of Broxton’s 13 homers this year have come over his 15 games. Keon Broxton went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored during Saturday's loss to the Braves.

He singled to lead off the game, advanced to second on an infield single by Domingo Santana, stole third base and scored on a fielder's choice grounder. That was the only run his squad could manage in the ballgame. Broxton got off to a terrible start to the campaign and seemed destined for a bench role when top prospect Lewis Brinson was called to the majors, but his recent hot streak is likely going to enable him to keep his starting job when Ryan Braun comes off the disabled list soon. He has a .242 batting average with 12 home runs, 43 runs scored, 29 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 72 games.

Keon Broxton slugged a solo homer, drew a walk, and scored two runs in Friday’s loss to the Braves.

Broxton has amassed six homers and 13 RBI over his last 13 games. The 27-year-old appeared vulnerable when top prospect Lewis Brinson was called up earlier this month, but the recent surge should buy him some time. Brinson will likely head back to Triple-A once Ryan Braun is activated from the disabled list.

Keon Broxton drilled a two-run bomb to tie the game in the bottom of the 10th inning but his team lost to the Padres in 11 frames.

After Yangervis hit a two-run shot in the top of the 10th for the Padres, Broxton matched the feat off closer Brandon Mauer in the bottom of the inning. It was Broxton's only hit of the game. He has a .233 batting average with 11 homers and 27 RBI. He has 10 stolen bases as well.
Jun 17 - 9:07 PM

Keon Broxton hit a three-run homer Friday, giving him four homers in his last five starts.

Maybe it's a coincidence, but Broxton has taken his game up about three notches since the Brewers threatened his job by calling up Lewis Brinson. Whereas it looked like Brinson was going to get a real shot to take over in center after Ryan Braun returned, now it seems a lot more likely that he'll head back to Triple-A.

Keon Broxton belted a two-run home run in a win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Broxton destroyed a Michael Wacha pitch in the second inning, hitting it 489 feet in the left-center field bleachers. It was the longest homer by a Brewers hitter this season, and the longest in the history of new Busch Stadium. The 27-year-old seems to have been energized by the promotion of Lewis Brinson, going 5-for-15 with three homers, six RBI and five runs scored in five games since. If that's what it takes to light a fire under Broxton, the Brew Crew may keep the youngster up all year.
Jun 16 - 1:25 AM

Keon Broxton finished 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI as the Brewers topped the Cardinals in the second half of Tuesday's doubleheader.

Broxton got Milwaukee on the board with a solo shot off spot starter Marco Gonzales in the top of the third inning before swatting an RBI triple off Gonzales in the top of the fourth. In the top of the eighth, he hit a run-scoring sac fly off Cardinals closer Seung Hwan Oh. The dynamic 27-year-old center fielder boosted his OPS to .745, and he now has eight home runs and 20 RBI to go along with 10 stolen bases and 35 runs scored.
Jun 13 - 11:53 PM

Keon Broxton went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in Thursday's loss to the Giants.

Broxton was looking good a couple of weeks ago, but he is in an 0-for-16 slump that's dropped his OPS under .700 for the first time since the beginning of May. If this keeps up, the Brewers could give Lewis Brinson a chance in a few weeks.
Jun 8 - 6:38 PM

Keon Broxton is not in the Brewers' lineup Monday.

The Brewers are giving Brett Phillips a start in center field in what will be his major league debut. Manny Pina is doing the catching.
Jun 5 - 4:14 PM

Keon Broxton tripled and scored a pair of runs on Sunday as the Brewers topped the Diamondbacks.

Broxton led off the game with a three-bagger and scored the game's first run on a fielder's choice off the bat of Hernan Perez. He finished the day 1-for-4 plus a walk and is now hitting .261/.323/.458 with five homers, 14 RBI and 10 stolen bases on the season.
May 28 - 7:06 PM

Keon Broxton stayed hot Wednesday with a solo home run off Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman.

Broxton entered the day batting .348/.384/.580 in May and he got the Brewers on the board in his first at-bat. The dynamic center fielder has begun to meet the preseason fantasy hype, now with five homers, 14 RBI, 10 steals, and 25 runs scored in 41 total games. He finished 1-for-3 on Wednesday.
May 24 - 4:24 PM

Keon Broxton clubbed his fourth home run of the season as the Brewers rallied to beat the Mets on Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee.

Broxton's two-run blast pulled them to within 7-3 in the sixth inning and paved the way for the comeback. He finished the day 1-for-4 and is now hitting .270/.336/.486 with four long balls, 12 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season.
May 14 - 6:35 PM

Keon Broxton fell a double shy of the cycle and drove in four runs in Tuesday's win over the Red Sox.

Broxton belted an opposite-field, two-run homer in the first inning before adding a single and a two-run triple. He also stole a base and was hit by a pitch, as he reached base in all four of his trips to the dish. It looked a couple weeks ago like there was a chance Broxton might be sent down or benched, but he's raised his OPS from .410 to .812 over his last 15 games. He now has three home runs to go along with his eight stolen bases.
May 10 - 1:00 AM

Keon Broxton finished 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the Cardinals on Thursday.

Perhaps more notably, Broxton didn't strike out once in the contest. Jokes aside, Thursday's game is an example of why Broxton is so enticing, as a real-life and fantasy player -- he's got pop, and with six steals in 25 games, he's got the speed as well. The homer was his second of the year. The strikeouts are likely always going to be an issue; it's his ability to rein them in, and what he does with the rest of his at-bats, that will determine his success in the majors.
