Jerry Sands led the Indians offensive attack in Friday's 8-1 victory over the Tigers, going 2-for-4 with a triple and a home run.

Sands drove home a pair and scored twice in the contest. He got the Indians on the board with a two-run blast off Kyle Lobstein in the third inning, then tripled and scored in the fifth. Jerry Sands went 2-for-2 with a double and a single in Sunday's loss to the Twins.

Sands picked up two of the Tribe's six hits on the afternoon, but his team failed to capitalize on either of the knocks. In 60 at-bats this season, he's hitting .267/.308/.417 with two homers and 11 RBI. There's no fantasy play here, though he's done a nice job given the limited number of at-bats he's seen.
Aug 16 - 5:18 PM

Jerry Sands went 1-for-3 with a grand slam in Saturday's 17-4 win over the Twins.

Sands hit for Lonnie Chisenhall with two outs and the bases loaded in the fifth inning. Facing off with Blaine Boyer, he smacked a grand slam to clear the bases and put the Indians up 13-3. He's not normally one for these kinds of pyrotechnics, as this was just his second home run of the season. Sands is slashing .261/.314/.435 over 46 at-bats.
Aug 8 - 11:29 PM

Jerry Sands went 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly in Sunday's loss to the A's.

The Indians accumulated six total singles in the game. Sands had one of those, and he also had the only RBI on Cleveland's side of the ledger, as he hit a sacrifice fly against Athletics starter Sonny Gray in the first inning. In 27 at-bats this season, Sands has picked up 10 hits, two of which have gone for doubles. He's not going to see the playing time for fantasy relevance.

May 31 - 12:36 PM

Jerry Sands hit a two-run homer and walked in his two plate appearances before being removed for a pinch-hitter Saturday.

Sands might be worth a major league roster spot, but the Indians only have room for him because Carlos Santana in on paternity leave for a few days. The homer was his seventh in 267 major league at-bats (most of which came way back in 2011).
