Brewers recalled INF Eric Farris from Triple-A Nashville.

He'll replace the injured Rickie Weeks on the active roster. Farris, 25, was batting .256/.308/.358 with six homers, 36 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 437 plate appearances with Triple-A Nashville this season. The Brewers will likely add an infielder in the day couple of days, so he's unlikely to have much fantasy value.

During an appearance on WTMJ in Milwaukee on Thursday morning, Brewers general manager Doug Melvin said that prospect infielder Eric Farris will replace the injured Rickie Weeks (ankle) on the active roster.

Farris, 25, is batting .256/.308/.358 with six homers, 36 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 437 plate appearances with Triple-A Nashville this season. He will be added to the roster prior to Tuesday's game. The Brewers have zero depth in their infield right now, so look for them to add someone before the trade deadline.
