Brewers recalled OF Logan Schafer from Triple-A Nashville.

Schafer has hit just .190/.281/.291 with no homers and six RBI in his 79 at-bats with the Brewers this season but is a fine defender at all three outfield positions. He'll provide some depth with Khris Davis (shoulder) banged up.

Brewers optioned OF Logan Schafer to Triple-A Nashville.

The 27-year-old outfielder has seen his share of struggles at the dish this season, slashing a paltry .190/.281/.291 with no homers and six RBI in his 79 at-bats. Once he straightens things out in the minor leagues, he's likely to rejoin the Brewers.

Logan Schafer went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Schafer had been hitless in five at-bats since returning from the disabled list before his two-run double in the first inning. Schafer also singled later in the game. With Ryan Braun still on the disabled list for a few more days, Schafer could see a few more starts in right field in the coming days.
May 7 - 12:12 AM

Brewers activated OF Logan Schafer from the 15-day disabled list.

He returns to the Brewers lineup just as Ryan Braun heads to the disabled list, so there will be an opening for potential playing time in the short term. Schafer had been sidelined since April 18 due to a strained right hamstring.
May 3 - 11:22 AM

Logan Schafer (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment with High-A Brevard County on Monday.

Brewers placed OF Logan Schafer on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 18, with a right hamstring strain.

Apr 20 - 11:23 AM

Logan Schafer has been unavailable the last few days due to hamstring issue.

Schafer felt a pop in his hamstring while stretching prior to a pinch-hitting appearance on Thursday. "It's a lot better (Saturday) than it was (Friday)," Schafer said. "I've never had any problems with my hammy or anything. It was a little weird. I'm just getting treatment and staying on top of it." Schafer is hoping to be available Sunday, but if he's not it's possible the Brewers will put him on the disabled list when they bring back Lyle Overbay from paternity leave.

Schafer hit his first homer of the spring and now has five stolen bases to go along with it. Now hitting .366 in 41 at-bats, Schafer has arguably had the most impressive spring of anyone in Brewers camp and may have already secured a spot on the roster as a back-up outfielder.

Logan Schafer homered, singled and walked twice against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Schafer and Khris Davis were battling for time in left field, but there's room for both with Carlos Gomez absent. Davis, though, did seem to be pulling away from Schafer of late. Schafer was hitting just .154 in 39 at-bats this month before his nice game today.
