White Sox prospect Trayce Thompson has collected a hit every game this season, hitting .429 in his first six contests for Triple-A Charlotte.
That average is good for second-best in the International League. Thompson only hit .237 at Double-A Birmingham in 2014, so he could cool off at any moment. At age 24, Thompson isn't considered one of Chicago's top prospects. He does have speed though with 45 steals in his last two minor league seasons. Apr 15 - 4:33 PM

White Sox outfield prospect Trayce Thompson went 4-for-5 with two doubles and a stolen base for Double-A Birmingham on Saturday.

Thompson is hitting .224/.320/.372 in his second full season in the Southern League. He has above-average power, but struggles with pitch recognition and has 76 strikeouts in 59 games this season. Thompson was the White Sox's 2nd round pick in 2009, but has yet to see his prospect status take a jump due to his poor performance.

White Sox prospect OF Trayce Thompson extended his hitting streak to nine games on Sunday, going 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBI for Double-A Birmingham.

The 23-year-old has opened the season on a tear and is now batting .359/.419/.513 with three doubles, a home run, seven RBI and 8/4 strikeout-to-walk ratio through 10 games. After going 0-for-5 in Birmingham's season opener, Thompson is batting .412 during his current nine-game hitting streak. With Avisail Garcia out of the year, Thompson, who's already on the White Sox' 40-man roster, could conceivably get a look in the major leagues late in the season.

White Sox purchased the contract of OF Trayce Thompson from Double-A Birmingham.

Thompson batted just .229/.321/.383 this past season in Double-A, but the White Sox aren't ready to give up on his tools. The 22-year-old was second-round pick in 2009.
