Angels optioned RHPs Michael Kohn, Ryan Brasier and Barry Enright to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Kohn was hoping to land a bullpen spot in his first year back from Tommy John surgery, but he struggled this spring, posting an 8.44 ERA while walking six over 5 1/3 innings. He should be an option for the pen at some point in 2013.

Michael Kohn (elbow) said he's "game-ready" after throwing 20-25 bullpen sessions over the offseason.

Kohn missed all of 2012 following Tommy John surgery and wasn't expected to be ready for the start of 2013, but it sounds like he's ahead of schedule. He'll compete for a middle relief role.

Angels activated RHP Michael Kohn from the 60-day disabled list.

Kohn missed all of 2012 following Tommy John surgery and will be sidelined for part of next season, as well. The Angels will continue to carry him on their 40-man roster.

It's a procedural move in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Kole Calhoun. Kohn will miss all of 2012 while recovering from Tommy John surgery.

His estimated time of recovery is 12-18 months. The 25-year-old right-hander posted a 7.30 ERA over 14 appearances last season.

Michael Kohn will have Tommy John surgery Thursday.

It's a tough blow for the 25-year-old right-hander, who had a shot at a bullpen spot this spring before experiencing elbow and forearm problems in late March. He will be sidelined for the entire 2012 campaign.

Michael Kohn will have his forearm examined by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama on Wednesday.

Never a good sign. Kohn hasn't picked up a ball in a couple of weeks and will likely be sidelined for a while longer even if Andrews' exam goes relatively well.

Michael Kohn is getting a second opinion this week on his strained right forearm.

Kohn hasn't picked up a ball in a couple of weeks. The right-hander was placed on the disabled list just before Opening day and seems unlikely to return anytime soon.

Angels placed RHP Michael Kohn on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a right forearm strain.

An MRI taken Wednesday revealed the strain, and will likely sideline Kohn until late April. The 25-year-old right-hander has yet to resume his spring throwing program.

An MRI taken this week on Michael Kohn's sore right forearm revealed a flexor strain.

Kohn was already a longshot for an Opening Day roster spot, and can now be completely ruled out. The 25-year-old right-hander will be shut down for at least a week.

Angels optioned RHP Michael Kohn to Triple-A Salt Lake.

The 24-year-old went 2-0 with a 2.11 ERA in 24 games for the Angels last season after being promoted in late-July. He regressed a bit in the early going of 2011, posting a 0-1 record with a 4.91 ERA and two home runs allowed in five games. The promising right-hander should be back with the big league club relatively soon.

Angels purchased the contract of RHP Michael Kohn from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Kohn has a 1.95 ERA and 1.19 WHIP over 26 relief appearances with the Bees this season. The 24-year-old right-hander possesses an electric fastball that touches the mid-90s and has averaged 13.6 K/9 over parts of three seasons in the minors. His command remains a question mark, however.
