Red Sox designated OF Ryan LaMarre for assignment.

The Sox had to clear a roster spot for Aaron Hill, who just came over in a trade with Milwaukee. LaMarre saw just five at-bats during his two-week stint in Beantown, though he did pitch a scoreless inning in Saturday's blowout loss to the Angels. He'll return to Triple-A Pawtucket if he clears waivers.
Jul 7 - 7:22 PM

Red Sox purchased the contract of OF Ryan LaMarre from Triple-A Pawtucket.

The 27-year-old outfielder was hitting .313/.383/.475 with six homers, 19 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 44 games at Triple-A. He's unlikely to see enough playing time in a crowded outfield to warrant any fantasy consideration.

Red Sox signed OF Ryan LaMarre to a minor league contract.

No word on if the deal includes an invitation to spring training. LaMarre, 27, made his major league debut this past September and hit .257 with eight home runs and a .707 OPS over 91 games at the Triple-A level. The Reds non-tendered him earlier this month.

Reds non-tendered OF Ryan LaMarre.

LaMarre, who was not arbitration-eligible, went 2-for-25 in 21 games with the Reds this past season and batted .257 with eight home runs and a .707 OPS over 91 games at the Triple-A level. The 27-year-old is now a free agent.

Ryan LaMarre (hamstring) was retired as a pinch-hitter in Sunday's season finale against the Pirates.

LaMarre hadn't appeared in a game since September 20 due to a strained right hamstring. The 26-year-old outfielder finished 2-for-25 (.080) in his first taste of major league life and probably won't be in the mix for an Opening Day roster spot in 2016.

Ryan LaMarre was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Brewers with a strained right hamstring.

He had been 0-for-4 with a strikeout on the afternoon before his departure. It doesn't sound as though the injury is that serious, so consider LaMarre day-to-day.

Reds purchased the contract of OF Ryan LaMarre from Triple-A Louisville.

LaMarre will take Marlon Byrd's spot on the roster. The 26-year-old earned the call-up after batting .257/.307/.400 with eight home runs over 329 plate appearances at the Triple-A level this season. He was second-round pick of the Reds back in 2010.

Reds re-signed OF Ryan LaMarre.

LaMarre was released a week ago after being removed from the 40-man roster, but he's now back in the organization. The 25-year-old has hit just .200/.310/.300 over an injury-shortened season at Triple-A Louisville.

Reds released OF Ryan LaMarre.

LaMarre cleared waivers after being designated for assignment, but the Reds decided to move on from him. The 25-year-old has hit just .200/.310/.300 over an injury-shortened season at Triple-A Louisville, but he can run and has been reasonably productive with the bat before. Someone will pick him up.

Reds designated OF Ryan LaMarre for assignment.

The move officially clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Cuban righty Raisel Iglesias. LaMarre has been limited to just 17 games due to injury this season, batting only .200/.310/.300 for Triple-A Louisville. He seems likely to clear waivers and remain in the organization.

Reds optioned OF Ryan LaMarre to Triple-A Louisville.

LaMarre didn't see much playing time this spring, as he didn't have a real shot to make the big club. He should start in center field at Louisville.

Reds purchased the contract of OF Ryan LaMarre from Triple-A Louisville.

LaMarre, 24, hit .245/.327/.368 with 10 home runs and 23 steals in 129 games this summer between Double-A and Triple-A. He's now on the Reds' 40-man roster but seems doubtful to ever develop into an everyday major leaguer.
